October 16, 201213 yr Member Caroline will be starting to show the early signs of Alzheimer's. Peggy McCay didn't panic cause they told her they're not killing off Caroline. The plan is to take this slowly, acknowledging that there is hope and encouraging progress being made in the treatment of alzheimer's. This would being a different story and different outcome if it had been done five or ten years ago says McCay pic of Bo & Caroline and the caption says: "On October 30th, Caroline and son Bo, leave Salem for a dementia treatment center in California"
October 16, 201213 yr Member I can't stand Caroline these days tbh so this doesn't phase me. This is how Bo is leaving?
October 16, 201213 yr Author Member Glad I don't watch anymore, I can't watch this, my grandmother had dementia before she passed away and I know these writers won't do it justice
October 16, 201213 yr Member Knowing DAYS, we'll find out Caroline's pre-Alzheimer's is, in fact, part of Stefano's latest scheme to destroy the Bradys and rule Salem.
October 16, 201213 yr Member Glad I don't watch anymore, I can't watch this, my grandmother had dementia before she passed away and I know these writers won't do it justice I feel you on this -- broke my heart to watch my grandmother struggle with that.
October 16, 201213 yr Member I can't stand Caroline these days tbh so this doesn't phase me. This is how Bo is leaving? Eric I would assume they would leave the door open if Peter Reckell decided to comeback or if they decided to recast the role of Bo.
October 16, 201213 yr Member So Bo leaves with Caroline, then ships her back to Salem on her own while he gallivants around the world or something? Or will he be "killed" off screen while he's traveling with her? Either way, I don't like it. I don't like this Alzheimer's story either -- and I've never had a problem with social-issue stories before. This one just feels too cruel. Yes, even crueler than an onscreen death.
October 16, 201213 yr Member I had a feeling awhile ago that this was how they'd usher Bo off. It gives him an easy way to return, but what happens when Caroline comes home without Bo? Hmm. Guess they'll cross that bridge when they get to it.
October 16, 201213 yr Member This one just feels too cruel. Yes, even crueler than an onscreen death. This is exactly why I've never had a problem with soaps NOT telling this kind of story. It's too morbid, especially since Peggy McCay herself isn't in the best of shape anymore (she's what, like 84?)
October 16, 201213 yr Member I don't have an issue with this and actually think its an original way to write him out Edited October 16, 201213 yr by Cheap21
October 17, 201213 yr Member but what happens when Caroline comes home without Bo? Hmm. Guess they'll cross that bridge when they get to it. I know I shouldn't say this.... they don't have to explain where Bo went, when Caroline comes back to Salem and someone asks where Bo is she can honestly say she doesn't know. oh how I miss "Santa Barbara" they would so write it that way. lol
October 17, 201213 yr Member he is clearly leaving with her, there will be no hope, she will return without him as he goes on a quest to bring down the dimeras and dies at sea so hope can go get a ride on Daniel or Rafe.
October 18, 201213 yr Member Knowing DAYS, we'll find out Caroline's pre-Alzheimer's is, in fact, part of Stefano's latest scheme to destroy the Bradys and rule Salem. LMAO! That's right up there with Alistair Crane turning Simone Russell gay in an effort to punish her family.
