@Roger

D List? You are being tremendously generous.

Cheap, you are a mess! LMAO!

LOL What's after "D"? Speaking of letters, the "C" fell on Mary on Santa Barbara 26 years ago today. Does that make her C List? ;)

You all crack me up. I totally get the feeling from MAB's perspective. It seems like Y&R is obsessed with casting D-list former "stars" from the past (the Malcolm recast was the worst for me). From Mr. Haskins perspective though, he's just an actor probably desperate for a job so I'm happy he gets to earn some $$. The weird thing is, a lot of these people don't look like they did when they were "famous" so not everyone would even recognize them. On Y&R, isn't Todd a priest? Was Corbin Bernsen busy?

I was thinking the other day how soaps used to cast these young, hot stars some of which would go on to be big film stars. Now it seems like a battle of which stars to cast from canceled soaps, actors over 50, or people who used to be known in primetime or reality or (in this case) Saturday morning TV. Is the next Julianne Moore or Kathleen Turner on a soap now? Or even the next Ray Liotta or Meg Ryan? Wasn't it Betty Rea who was known for casting all this amazing young (and older) talent on soaps?

I guess in the grand scheme of things having Cindy Brady or Mr. Belding guest star in an episode or two is the least of Y&R's problems.

Corbin Bernsen did not seem too happy with the show the last time he appeared. I won't be surprised if we don't see him again.

The problem with the constant stunt casting is it just takes away any sense of reality. You are constantly seeing someone because they were popular on another long-ago show.

Yeah, I heard Bernsen had some major issues this last go-around with Ricky and Patty.

Still waiting for Bo Derek as the new Ashley and Maria Conchita Alonso to appear as a vengeful Isabella.

Stunt casting?! How?! Nobody gives a damn about these people!

As long as we're hiring anyone, can Erika Alexander from Living Single show up?

They never seem to hire sitcom people I actually want to see. I'm still waiting to see Telma Hopkins.

It gets a headline in some press outlet.

I logged back in just for this.

Then that's the best thing about this casting.

Thats a good one...since we are requesting...how about Jackee or Marla Gibbs??

Dustin Nguyen as Keemo. Wait, was Keemo Asian? I can't remember, I don't watch much Y&R.

And in a moment of Sony synergy, Holly Robinson Peete appears for two weeks as Drucilla Winters for a very special event.
