I guess Rita must be in this too. It's telling that even though Rita had no big lasting connections on the show (like "legacy children"), so many still wanted her back for decades. After Alan became cold and rigid he still loved Hope, so its almost like he was two different people. I hated it when they wrote it like Alan was always evil.
