ALL: Deaths that stuck

No offense to anyone, but DAYS should not even be mentioned in this thread. No one stays dead on that show. No one.

A death that sticks is seemingly rare in soapland

Not really. I would say most end up sticking

Very true. Only real-life deaths are deaths that stuck on Days.

Hmm....

Real Princess Gina. Angela Moroni (minor character, but didn't Brandon marry her?). Jude St. Clair (oops, another minor character).

Yeah, DAYS has no place in this thread ;)

actually Leo was going to be alive in the finale, but thanks to PP and AN and LB catering to those idiots, it didn't happen

To this day, I curse them to high heaven for depriving me of my GreenLeo.

A lot of DAYS deaths in the 60's and 70's stuck, and early 80's. Bob and Mary Anderson, Scott Banning, David Martin and his baby son, Kitty Horton, Addie Horton, et al. Aside from Tommy Horton and Brooke Anderson or whatever her name was, they had no back from the dead stories until Marlena in 1982.

Drucilla Winters (which chaps my ass to this day)

She'll be back one day. Jo Marie Payton (the mom from Family Matters) was just spotted at CBS studios.... ;)

Will Judy Winslow replace Tonya Lee Williams as well?

Yes, and then she will continue in the same tradition and eventually disappear after a few seasons, as no one will reference her, like she never existed in the first place.

Knowing DAYS, though, each and every one of those deaths can be reversed at any moment. That's my point.

I was going to post the identical comment as Khan, about deaths that suck and listed the same people from GL. LOL

Stone on GH

I wish they would be...

I do, too. In a way. I mean, Stefano and Tony can come back how many times? But for all we know, Don Craig was killed by a drunk mailman who drove too close to that mailbox.

Maureen Bauer

Frankie Frame Winthrop

Georgie Jones

I didn't even like her (after she bound Sage, another one I didn't like, locked her in a room and left her vulnerable to a killer) but this death had to be the most unnecessary in all my soap years. Georgie could have gone off to college. If one of the sisters had to die, it should have been Maxi. That eppy will be coming up in about a month and I don't think I will watch it.

When people say Robin is/was the heart of GH, I cringe. It was Georgie!

I swear Guza had to be whacking himself while penning that one.

Stone on GH

Stone's death was very poignant, something that left soaps about 10 years ago. They are no longer meaningful.
