After seeing her on GH, I really wanna see some of Mattson's work as Janet on AMC now. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Kate Collins but I'd be interested to see some darker gravitas to the character that I'm seeing Mattson bring to Heather.

Heather serves no purpose but to be the writers plot device. It's obvious that she is being used solely to create drama for other characters, she's not a real entity and her "motivations" are so ridiculous that they don't even appear even half way logical.

I'm disappointed GH is now taping in film. I just looks weird on TV because there's that microsecond of...lagging (I don't think that's right word). I'm starting to really enjoy Anna/Luke. I liked how he brushed her hair aside in their last scene on Friday. I'm definitely becoming a RM fan because I'm loving Heather. She's so fun to watch.

I'm not surprised Heather has lost all semblance of depth. It's the same problem for Jane Elliot's Tracy. Both characters are so deliciously wicked that it's easy for a writer to fall into that trap of making them almost cartoonish in their motivations. I must hand it to Robin Mattson, however. As usual, she's committing herself to whatever the writers are giving her, regardless of how stupid the material. It's something I've loved her about since the dark, dark days of SANTA BARBARA. ("Gina Jeans"?! Oh Lord.)

Anna/Luke make me feel sick. If Anna had any semblance of integrity - which no woman on this show ever has - she would not go near him. I have no idea why a woman would want to be treated like his pet.

As for Heather, I don't even care as much about her being a plot point as they don't even do a good job setting that up. They also surround her with dud characters like Olivia and Leatherface.

Her storylines are weak and the plot stinks but RM makes it work. She is making Heather such a treat to watch as any other actress just wopuldnt draw the same interest. This is one of the signs of a good actress...turning sh-t into gold. I could watch her all day even if her story sucks. She's adding so much to the show and her scenes are worth watching, plot point or not

The only way GH will ever get me to care at all about Luke and Anna is if Duke, Holly and Robert were to get in on the fun. Otherwise...? Forget it.

Hope you all don't mind me joining in the conversation. I'm an infrequent poster here at SON, but I do watch GH. I've been watching since August 2009. I watched in the late 70's/early 80's too when I was a teenager. I think I'm the lone person in the world who enjoyed a certain fired writer's work. He wasn't anywhere near perfect or even great, but I found things to enjoy under his regime. When his storytelling lagged, the dialogue was great. And I could count on weeks where the show was top notch and memorable for me as a viewer. And under his watch - no flashbacks or over abundance dramatic soapy music -- I loved that. I watch my soap to unwind after work -- nothing bigger than that. And I know it could be pulled from the airwaves at any time. That doesn't bother me -- shows come and go and soaps aren't any different IMHO. When GH goes off the air, well, it goes off the air.

I hate to say it, but I'm not enjoying the new regime that much. There are some aspects that I like, but I am finding it hard to watch -- not as hard to watch as Garin Wolfe, but close. Maybe it's the way it is edited now? That's one of my biggest problems. I really loathe quick cuts on any show. I realize that that is used to give the illusion that things are moving, but rather than it being seemless, I'm thinking, "I guess this is supposed to be something happening."

The OLTL gang -- there's only one of them that I find interesting, the rest don't draw me in. However, I don't think they are taking over, but I'm also not seeing outside of one character what they are adding to the show for me as a viewer. I have no feelings one way or the other about OLTL -- I watched the show in the late 70's for a bit -- it was good show, but eventually I stopped for no particular reason.

The baby switch is probably my least favorite type of soap opera story, so when it became clear that was what was going to happen, I groaned. I didn't care about Tea losing her baby (I know that sounds heartless), but I don't know her enough to care. I did care about Sam losing hers. I'm also not a fan of split personality storylines -- I've seen too many in my lifetime.

The show is all over the place for me.

I used to enjoy GH as a whole, but now I am down to enjoying Heather, Luke, Tracy and Anna and that's pretty much it. Their storylines are kind of ridiculous, but the actors/actresses seem to know how to make it work at least for me. And that's maybe the another part that bothers GH right now -- I'm finding it kind of ridiculous at the moment. Currently, there's no story that is really making want to tune in to see what happens next. But I'm still tuning in, hoping that a good story will pop up.

I'm with you here. Holly, Robert and Duke....and Laura are the characters that are missing in the Luke/Anna relationship. Luke and Robert were like brothers and that's why if Luke and Anna do go romantic...it will seem a little incestuous to me. And I'm kind of mad that this regime hasn't acknowledged the bromance other than when Luke lying to Robert about Ethan to keep him from committing suicide (unrealistic to me). Luke going romantic with another one of Robert's wives is a little too much for me. I wish they'd bring back Robert, Holly, Duke...and Laura. Having 3 supercouples together (L&L, R&H and D&A) will make this long time GH fan happy. Maybe the regime will do this in the end. Frankly, at this point, that's all I'm hanging onto.

    • Bloodshed is inevitable now. It’s another reason I’m glad Black people aren’t getting involved in these protests. As awful as this is, I keep reminding myself that 54 percent of Latino men voted for Trump. These people were put in harm’s way by members of their own communities and sometimes even members of their own families. Too many people decided to touch the stove.
    • Maybe I'm still in denial, but nothing about Neighbours' ongoing social media output gives the vibe of a show that's ending. In today's 'Roundup' video, Alan Fletcher referenced that production finishes in five weeks, but in all the show's posts the cast are as jovial and lighthearted as ever. Remarkably so for people who are about to lose their jobs.    Perhaps they're just putting a brave face on things, and I know they approached the previous axing with a positive attitude. Maybe putting an upbeat face on things is a collective way of showing potential backers that there's still life in the show? Or is it possible that they already know the show has been saved, and we'll get an announcement next month when filming wraps and the show 'rests'?   Does any of that make sense?!
    • A very good week for male eye candy on GH. New Michael is beautiful, Curtis's arms looked great in that polo shirt, Cody looks even more handsome with his new haircut AND we got Marco in swim shorts rocking his lovely bod and chest fur.

    • Yeah when Jamey Giddens did breakdowns for DAYS, he would sometimes state in tweets that specific things were his idea that he had pitched to Ron.
    • I don't, since they've clearly incorporated them into Tomas' storyline, and I happen to like his tattoos, but his jackets not fitting doesn't mean they're trying to cover his tattoos. The clothing overall isn't the issue; it's the fit. And I expect(ed) more from Jeresa Featherstone and her team. Very disappointed. He's the only male, overall, whose costume irritates me.
    • "And OMG, watching the scenes of Roger's return in comparison...the quality in the writing really nosedived. The stupid mask." Very much agreed.  Having Roger hide behind a mask for weeks/months, with it culminating with him swinging in on a vine at Blake/Phillip's wedding....geez.  So juvenile. IMO, Guiding Light never did a good job reintroducing major characters, either from the dead or elsewhere.  Masked balls = awful.  Amish = awful. When Reva was brought back from the dead, she should've just showed up in Springfield as Reva, and informed everyone that she had been gone for years because she felt like it.  She had a four-year fling with some dude who ended up dumping her due to disloyalty. Josh would be pissed and declare that their love is not *always* but *sometimes* and he'd act accordingly.  Her kids would hate her.
    • Agreed. The Emmys next year are gonna be a pretty tough competition and I hope we get a Days sweep lol  Not only does Deidre deserve a nomination for these last few weeks, but I also think Paul Telfer, Raven Bowens, Carson Boatman, Dan Feuerriegel and Alison Sweeney have good chances as well.
    • It’s not about a lack of faith and trust in MVJ, it’s about a a lack of faith and trust in Ron Carlivati, who I think can be very sneaky and manipulative when he wants to be.  And, all that “He’s just a breakdown writer” talk never changed my mind about anything, because at Days, it was “just a breakdown writer” that gave us some of the worst episodes I’ve ever seen.
