Im glad it does

LOL

Im glad it doesnt seem as if Tea knows Sonny. I was afraid that since they both grew up in NYC, that she would know him and the Bensonhurst hos but thankfully it doesnt seem as if they've crossed paths.

I wonder what Todd is going to do with what he heard. Is he gonig to go and threaten Kate now? Go to the police about her?

Connie as Kate is the real alter or host personality. Connie who is the real name and who Kate is -- is the real personality and she made up Kate as a way to break into the fashion industry. Whatever that is supposed to mean. My problem with this story is that it implies that all the times Kate was "Connie" was when she was mentally ill or when she needed Connie to come out and protect her. That means that Connie has always been there in some way. There is no frame of reference of how far this multiple personality storyline goes, and it becomes hard to distinguish Kate/Connie because Connie is who she was born as and who people remember her as when she was a child. Where as "Kate" is merely a work identity she created because she was ashamed of her roots. The fact that people refer to her as the same person Kate/Connie makes it even more difficult.

I watched yesterday, and if I didn't know any better, I'd swear there was a camera down LW's blouse because you could practically see up Brandon's nose. The camera positioning had the makings of a grade school production.

Who in the sam hell thinks the production is any good

? That's nuts!

When Kate and Sonny met in 2007, he finally recognized her as his old gf, Connie. When she could not deny it anymore, Kate fessed up and admitted who she was. She then gave Sonny the background on why she chose KH. King David's mistress or something. She has always acknowledged her real name. When Olivia first met Carly, she talked about how Connie thought she was better than everyone else and didn't look back when she left. There was no DID, and Connie is the host if there was an alter (but there isn't).

Go with Cartini's flow if you wish, but this story is repeated convoluted trash!

When Maria Bell went on her (very) extended victory lap tour of 2008 and 2009, she said something like Bill Bell was sitting on her shoulder.

Is that really supposed to be a rib? is someone holding a baby?

They should have been even more literal and put waterwings on it.

    • Roger's return storyline may have been silly but Roger's return was what lead to GL's last golden era.  It was the combination of Roger's return and Robert Calhoun becoming EP that got GL to finally hit it's stride after some really bad years. It will always disappoint me that the ratings during Robert Calhoun's run didn't reflect the quality of the show.
    • He also gave some of the best episodes, like the episodes surrounding Doug's death. The problem with Days was that Ron had a horrible vision from he top. I don't feel the same for MVJ and nothing that has happened in all these months suggests she doesn't have a handle on the show. Now if it becomes an issue I'll acknowledge it, but I'm not seeing it so far.
    • Jean Hackney was awful and that lead to Ben's exit story which sucked. I liked Ben/Val together. Val's love for Ben was that of a grown woman moving on with her life and Ben's love for Val made him willingly decide to raise another man's children as his own.
    • It wasn't just a GL thing, it was an 80s thing. Opulent party scenes on soaps were very big back then. Even in regular episodes where people are just going to dinner they're dressed up like they're going to see royalty.
    • Just started the May 27 episode and first thing I see is that Willow got an ugly haircut since hte last time i watched   I dont have the context for how everthing went down but I know its all Lulu's fault which make her a bish for what she did to Gio
    • I'm pretty sure he was. But point taken. GL really had a thing for masked and costumed balls/parties in the '80's. Everyone looks fabulous, but those poor costume designers.
    • Still here ^^ Come on Prime Video, it's due to bring it back!
    • Got through the eighth season, and it was... painful.

    • I agree 100% with both you and Mitch64.  Soaps have been going further and further off-course since 1981. TPTB just don't have a fundamental understanding of what makes soap fans so loyal. I'd love to be on a writing team with both of you.  Maybe we could put together a real soap opera, and show people what its all about...
    • They weren't in town, but Fletcher worked at the paper (and we saw anniversary Journal headlines for the 50th, although I don't remember if Roger was one of them), and I'd think Alex would have at least heard of him due to the damage he did to Spaulding only a few years before her return to the fold. I know I have to remember it's not real life, of course.
