DAYS: SOD reports huge exits to come

SOD is fast on giving this news. Of course, with how far ahead Days is we will see them for another three months.

Not a Madison fan (never became invested), hopefully Carrie and Austin get to leave together, and Jack (let's just say please don't have him die again).

Feel sorry for the actors, but this was to be expected although it is frustrating. Curious who else is going to be going...

I have a feeling Jack won't be killed off again or broken up with Jen. He'll probably just be relegated to offscreen, a la Steve in Kayla's return.

Are you freaking KIDDING ME? Christie is gone AGAIN? This just may be the last straw...

I agree! She is beloved by those long-time fans who go to see her grow up. Her story has barely begun, why are they dumping her already? I guess the conciliation is that Austin and Carrie will likely ride off into the sunset together again. I doubt either actor will be back down the line with this dismissal.

Ashford, not surprising in the least.

SJB gone, and Ian still on? That's a shocker.

Sick of Matt being [!@#$%^&*] on for the gaillionth time. I said if Matt was fired again I was done with Days for good. Buh bye Days

I had to come back and post, I am actually feeling a bit enraged about who they selected to let go. These actors actually had potential in the relaunch.

If Drake stays, I will have lost any optimism I have with the new writing regime. If there is any character who has outlasted his storyline potential it is that of the pawn.

Carrie should've been groomed to become the next Marlena - the beautiful, good girl, leading lady - like the way Marlena, Jen, Hope were developed.

The plan to save Days!~ part 35.

I bet SOD already has the cover and articles laid out. They keep a spare in their emergency supplies.

Exactly! As said elsewhere in this thread, these are the worst initial choices for first firings. Camila, Kate, Galen and Ian should have been the first to be sent packing.

I really have to wonder that if Christie hadn't decided to leave in 1999 after 14 years, she would be where Sami is today. Instead, she's been asked to "come home" numerous times to horrific writing, only to be the first ones fired when the writing regime changes.

I am SO freaking angry right now.

I really hope Christie & Matt tell Corday to shove it when he begs them to return when this new "Plan To Save DAYS" fails.

They always through the baby out with the bath water on this show; and every revamp seems to compromise the integrity of the core families more and more.

While I know it is not her fault in terms of who is hired and fired, I think it sucks that Melissa Reeves has never been treated a quarter as shabbily as Matthew Ashford has. And the fact that she was not included in the first wave of firings tells me the show possibly sees Jennifer as the half with a draw when, IMO, it has always been Jack.

But, whatever. MA ought to never darken the Days set ever again. Let Jen go back to Dr. Perv and help along cancellation.
