The Grammys Thread

I can't believe I forgot to comment on Nicki -

As a Catholic, I didn't find it expensive. It was a story. Anyone that follows Nicki knows that she has those "alters" in her music, and an exorcism doesn't seem offensive if you've listened to her prior music - the "mother" and "mother's warning" is a common theme throughout. And considering exorcisms are a real part of the church, I don't see the problem with it.

Nikki's exorcism was no more or less offensive than LL's prayer to god about whitney.

Taylor Swift looked amazing. loved that dress.

Adele was perfection. She can really belt it out.

Jennifer Hudson? Amazing. Beautiful tribute in such a short amount of notice. Just her, her voice and her emotions. Very fitting.

Adele winning everything? As she should.

Overall it was one of the most entertaining and all including Grammy telecasts ive seen.

I don't see what one has to do with the other really. I didn't find NM's performance offensive so much as desperate. That's just the landscape of the industry I guess, when you're hustling to keep your spot among the Beyonces, Gagas, Rhiannas... I saw LL's prayer as a kind, respectful, appropriate gesture that Whitney herself would have appreciated, and to me that's all that really matters.

I'm pretty shocked you don't know them. They're the type of music I despise, but they go by deadmau5 (Dead mouse)

Okay thanks. I usually don't listen to that type of music either. I get my music exposure from radio and TV shows.

I LOVE Miranda Lambert biggrin.png

@Miranda_Lambert

How dang long did they give Nicki Minaj to do whatever that was? Strange. And Chris Brown twice? I don't get it. He beat on a girl...

@Miranda_Lambert

Not cool that we act like that didn't happen. He needs to listen to Gunpowder and lead and be put back in his place. Not at the Grammys.

And yet she had no problem singing along to a medley from a dude that knocked his then-girlfriend's teeth out...

I dont know if anyone mentioned the ratings...but they were huge! Why Pan Am is still on the air with a 1.9 HH is beyond me...they should have kept brothers and sisters

Of course they were since they hoodwinked many into thinking that there'd be a Whitney tribute worth tuning into (no offense to JHud, but that short number was hardly worthy of the icon that Whitney was).
