SoapOperaFan

Although he claims he’s innocent, Will is still arrested for shooting Stefano. Roman tells his daughter she might want to ask Carrie to represent her hapless son. Sami gags on that idea. She and Lucas call Justin instead, even though he’s just a corporate lawyer. The parents entertain the thought that their son might actually be guilty. Meanwhile, Will doesn’t have to spend much time in his cell because EJ decides to take him out. He posts his bail after hearing about the arrest while stealing the papers proving that he’s not a DiMera from under Rafe’s nose. Will is reluctant to leave with Elvis, who makes it clear that he owns him now and wants to use him for his own mysterious plans.

Marlena flips her wig when Roman tells her he arrested her grandson. He wonders how she can be so sure he’s innocent. When he and John hear that Elvis has bailed Will out, they start to think they could have been in cahoots to knock off Stefano. Meanwhile, Rafe assures Sami and Lucas that Will must be innocent. He’s surprised when Roman pops up and announces that he can no longer run the investigation because he’s too close to it. He thinks Rafe should take over since he’s the only person in the SPD who can be objective. Rafe pokes a few holes in that idea but takes the job anyway. And Sami gets busy insisting to her son that she’s confident of his innocence. She throws blame at her mom instead.

Why?

Again, why?

...Nah, too easy.

Wouldn't it be hysterical if she literally flipped her wig?

That should have been obvious from the get-go!

Roman: "WHAT DA HELL, WILL?!"

I don't think it would make much sense for him to be against it, I mean he had a whole conversation with Will about how if anyone starts to give Sonny trouble that he wants Will to come to him and let him know blah blah. I know it's "different" when it hits close to home, but for him to be soo supportive of Sonny, a stranger to him, and then not of Will would just be stupid.

So spoilers have Brian coming to town and shaking up things for Sonny & Will.

Sonny feels his friend that breezes into town is trying to muscle in on his "relationship" with Will.

Makes me wonder, could Brian be the selfish ex Sonny spoke of. Could Brian be vindictive and not want Sonny to be happy, so he tries to cause trouble.

It would help if Will had something to do besides lusting after EJ. Trying to make Will edgy was a big flop. CM doesnt have the acting chops to pull it off. I am hoping Tomlin ends the whole EJ/Will lovefest since it isnt going anywhere and Will is as evil as a mouse.

It was enough for DAYS to have Will come out of the closet. But to make him gay and an anti-hero? Especially when nothing about Chandler Massey suggests he could play that level of complexity? Instead of wasting their time on that mess, MarDar should have been setting up a real gay anti-hero for innocent, young Will to fall in love with. If they had done that, they might have had the next big supercouple on their hands.

IMO, an E.J./Will affair would work best if E.J. were back with Sami, and they (meaning, he and Will) had to sneak around behind Sami's back in order to avoid her wrath. It would've been a good twist on the whole mother-and-daughter-fall-for-the-same-dude story that works so well on shows like DAYS and Y&R.

    • When the announcement was first made, I did wonder if other plans were in the works. I guess we can always keep hoping, especially as the show has a small core cast.
    • @chrismlAbout Lisa, agree to disagree. Actually at the time she was the only thing my partner & I disagreed about. Naturally she was Team Vicky while I was steadfast as Team Lisa.  About John & twin paternity, I think that like the 3 pillows was a transitory idea someone had that no one else agreed with. More of the attempt to accommodate Philece. About MJ, co-sign, 100% agree, if there were more degrees I would claim them. About Wally & Felicia, always a fan. Mitch? Eh, take or leave. Although I do agree that WGE is a really striking man. Who have I left out? I don't know so that's all I got.

    • Dallas peaked early, IMO. Maybe not a fair statement as I’m still making my way through the first half of its run, but I think it’s hard to argue to point that S3 into S4 was its high point. Back to Knots. Wrapping up “And Never Brought to Mind.” Greg’s introduction kinda took me by surprise. I low-key dreaded his arrival bc I know he very quickly gets to the center of the show, but even though they wasted no time connecting him with Mac, Abby, Gary, and Karen, it still feels like a gradual intro. The juxtaposition of the ending of the Chip story with the heating up Abby’s plotting is quite symbolic of the changes the show was going through. I absolutely cannot imagine Kenny and Ginger having any part in any of this. Yall, the Gary/Val piano theme that they pull out from time to time is my FAVORITE. I find myself humming it constantly.
    • Bloodshed is inevitable now. It’s another reason I’m glad Black people aren’t getting involved in these protests. As awful as this is, I keep reminding myself that 54 percent of Latino men voted for Trump. These people were put in harm’s way by members of their own communities and sometimes even members of their own families. Too many people decided to touch the stove.
    • Maybe I'm still in denial, but nothing about Neighbours' ongoing social media output gives the vibe of a show that's ending. In today's 'Roundup' video, Alan Fletcher referenced that production finishes in five weeks, but in all the show's posts the cast are as jovial and lighthearted as ever. Remarkably so for people who are about to lose their jobs.    Perhaps they're just putting a brave face on things, and I know they approached the previous axing with a positive attitude. Maybe putting an upbeat face on things is a collective way of showing potential backers that there's still life in the show? Or is it possible that they already know the show has been saved, and we'll get an announcement next month when filming wraps and the show 'rests'?   Does any of that make sense?!
    • A very good week for male eye candy on GH. New Michael is beautiful, Curtis's arms looked great in that polo shirt, Cody looks even more handsome with his new haircut AND we got Marco in swim shorts rocking his lovely bod and chest fur.

    • Yeah when Jamey Giddens did breakdowns for DAYS, he would sometimes state in tweets that specific things were his idea that he had pitched to Ron.
    • I don't, since they've clearly incorporated them into Tomas' storyline, and I happen to like his tattoos, but his jackets not fitting doesn't mean they're trying to cover his tattoos. The clothing overall isn't the issue; it's the fit. And I expect(ed) more from Jeresa Featherstone and her team. Very disappointed. He's the only male, overall, whose costume irritates me.
    • "And OMG, watching the scenes of Roger's return in comparison...the quality in the writing really nosedived. The stupid mask." Very much agreed.  Having Roger hide behind a mask for weeks/months, with it culminating with him swinging in on a vine at Blake/Phillip's wedding....geez.  So juvenile. IMO, Guiding Light never did a good job reintroducing major characters, either from the dead or elsewhere.  Masked balls = awful.  Amish = awful. When Reva was brought back from the dead, she should've just showed up in Springfield as Reva, and informed everyone that she had been gone for years because she felt like it.  She had a four-year fling with some dude who ended up dumping her due to disloyalty. Josh would be pissed and declare that their love is not *always* but *sometimes* and he'd act accordingly.  Her kids would hate her.
