In a turn of events I suspect none of us could ever have anticipated in a thousand years, Nafessa Williams (the infamous Deanna, OLTL) is on the master cast list of hundreds just released for David Lynch's Twin Peaks reboot on Showtime.

Yes, I did look for her reaction gif.

Vanessa Marcil in a June Weddings Hallmark movie

THE CONVENIENT GROOM - Saturday, June 18 (9 pm ET/PT, 8C)

Stars: Vanessa Marcil ("General Hospital," "Las Vegas")

In the charming New England town of Nantucket, Dr. Kate Lawrence, a celebrity relationship expert, shoots another dating advice video for her popular blog. Later, at a farmers market, Kate shops with her fiancé, Bryan, a handsome and perfectly polished businessman. There, Kate runs into Lucas Wright, a carpenter specializing in handcrafted furniture, who has had a crush on her since their high school days. Hoping to land a book deal, and urged by her aggressive show-business agent, Kate plans to publicly announce her engagement - and film the subsequent wedding arrangements for her blog - as a way to build her fanbase. At an upscale event, as Kate prepares to share the news, Bryan shocks her by breaking up with her and calling off the wedding. Wanting to save her from humiliation and protect her public image, Lucas steps in and pretends to be Kate's fiancé. With her career at risk, Kate reluctantly moves forward with her agent's plan to let the public continue believing that Lucas - whom she considers just a friend - is her soon-to-be husband. As a film crew shoots Kate and Lucas' wedding preparations, the counterfeit couple starts to develop real feelings for each other. When Lucas declares his affections, Kate panics and - fearing a relationship would end in heartbreak - pushes him away. As her career soars, Kate feels guilty about betraying her fans and decides to confess that Lucas is not her fiancé. But before Kate can apologize, Bryan's new girlfriend posts a viral video, exposing Kate as a liar and her engagement to Lucas as a fraud. With her career and life now in shambles, the young relationship expert learns an unexpected lesson about love, and sets out to revive the romance she let slip away.

THE WEDDING MARCH - Saturday, June 25 (9 pm ET/PT, 8C)

Stars: Jack Wagner ("The Bold & The Beautiful") and Josie Bissett

Olivia Parsons is a fortysomething home stager and single mom to her 20-year old daughter, Grace. Though she favors work over romance, Olivia plans to marry Josh Johnson, a prominent - and career-obsessed - New York realtor. At Grace's suggestion, Olivia agrees to have her wedding at a picturesque New England inn. When Olivia arrives at the inn, she's shocked to find it is owned and operated by her college sweetheart, former pop star Mick Turner (Jack Wagner, "When Calls the Heart," "The Bold & The Beautiful"). Having separated on bad terms over two decades ago, Olivia's chance reunion with Mick becomes even more awkward when her wedding band cancels and Mick's college-bound daughter, Julie, arranges for him to perform in their place. As the wedding day approaches, Olivia and Mick initially lock horns but soon, feelings for each other begin to resurface. Meanwhile, Josh learns that Mick is considering selling the inn and jumps at the chance to become his realtor, focusing on breaking into the New England real estate market instead of his upcoming marriage. When Grace and Julie notice sparks reigniting between their respective mom and dad, they subtly - and not so subtly - encourage the former couple to reunite. Though Olivia and Josh make a perfect team as business partners, Olivia starts to question whether they're romantically compatible - and wonders if romance might be more important to her than she originally thought. When Mick makes his true feelings known at the rehearsal dinner, Olivia must decide if she's going to walk down the aisle as planned, or give her first love a second chance.

"Seduced," right?  I caught a repeat of it earlier this evening.  As I watched the movie, however, I couldn't understand why Elisabeth Rohm's character, who was supposed to be this incredibly intelligent businesswoman, couldn't see through his character's deception.  I mean, his cheesy Italian accent -- that should have been an immediate giveaway.  Then, whaddya know, his co-conspirator expressed to Rohm at the movie's climax the Exact. Same. Sentiments.  As if the writer had been reading my mind the entire time, lol.

I thought is Jon suppose to be acting as an Italian or is his acting that bad or its part of the plot….LOL…….the best scene was him without the tee…..LOL….

I use to like his music way back ….did he stop with his music career? I haven't seen him much in acting either..

Jon's character, Gavin (aka Michael), wasn't supposed to be Italian.  But, as his partner-in-crime said, he never could get the accent right, which made Rohm's character look like even MORE of a dunce, since it was apparent from the start that the accent was fake.  Like, "that's-a spicy meatball!" fake.

    • This is where McLaibey falls apart. It becomes clear that McTavish had not thought past Brent/Marion...so the energy drops and she starts throwing things at the wall (Blakes twins, Lonatrat.)   Fans HATED this funeral. Everyone is mad at everyone else, which is fine, the death of a beloved community figure would give people a reason to come together...(Quint and Nola could come together at least for  a bit to support each other, Nola and VAn could finally admit they kinda, sorta like each other) Its just an example of McTavish's mean writing.   I have a feeling they were going to make Dahlia Frank's kid but they chickened out. Making Tina a prostitute didn't help, they could have been lovers when they were young but felt society pressure to part. Marcus took over David's role (you can't have two young black men at that time...)   Get used to it...this will happen, the same storyline over and over until the end.
    • Does anyone happen to have a recording or any footage of Jennifer’s funeral?
    • It's such a shame that the conflict couldn't be resolved in a mature way between the two actors.. especially since Albee was a bigger asset for the show in terms of character and his popular will they/won't they pairing with Deborah Saxon. One of the things about Edge was that it was just as popular with male viewers as it was with women.  It's one of things I think the show forgot in the final year or two with the deemphasis on the male characters.
    • Daytime Confidential did a podcast of the worst mothers in soaps and here were their lists.  5.Felicia Scorpio 4.Reva Shayne 3.Dina Mergeron 2.Helena Cassadine/Shelia Carter 1.Brooke Logan Dishonorable Mentions- Stephanie Forrester,Ann Douglas, Phyllis Summers and Joanna Manning Joshua 5.Anna Devane 4.Diane Jenkins 3.Ava Vitali 2.Shelia Carter 1.Brooke Logan Dishonorable Mentions-Alexis Davis, Felicia Scorpio, Eve Donovan, Heather Webber, Natalia Ramirez, Stephanie Forrester, and Ruth Martin Luke 5.Natalia Ramirez 4.Diana Coville 3.Helena Cassadine 2.Alexis Davis 1.Arlene Vaughn Dishonorable Mentions-Stephanie Forrester Now for my comments. Wonder what Ruth Martin ever did to this guy?!!! I mean Ruth Martin? I don't get it. Next, IMO they are just picking on Eve Donovan. Who is Dina Mergeron? Same question  Joanna Manning? Diana Colville Is that because of the bad DAYS retcon of her being Leo Stark's mother? All of the rest, CO-SIGN!
    • Thanks! Looking forward to reading the rest!

    • I don't really care about what the men are wearing, or not wearing.   What I care about is focusing on the writing and character development for each of the male characters. Andre really doesn't have a lot of character development that sets him apart from the other male characters except that he seems content to be degraded and mistreated by the elitist Dani.  I would like to know why a good looking younger guy like Andre would willingly be at the mercy of an emotional vampire such as Dani.   Martin, on the other hand, seems to have decent character development.. and it is partly due to how the actor chooses to recite his lines.  Martin was raised in a very privileged household and probably went to the best schools... so it makes sense that he would come across as thinking he was above everyone else.  Most people raised in a upper class situation as the Duprees would view themselves as better than others (it's the same trait Dani seems to employ on those she feels superior to). It makes me wonder how Nicole came out of that family being so warm and nurturing  when her family dynamics seemed very appearance oriented.
    • I know, right. I after just re-reading the thread, I'm like ooppph!
    • Lulu and Dante were divorced before her coma, but she was still in love with him.  He just didn't know.  They haven't been married for years.    I was pretty mixed about Lulu getting involved when it was just a child out there in the world, but now that she realizes it's Gio I am okay with her telling Dante.  It also is her son's sibling.  I still think it's BLQ's choice though.  Lulu is in a rough spot because I think Dante will be mad if she keeps it a secret and Chase, Brook, Lois, etc will be mad if Lulu tells. Without veering too far into the classic area of the show, I had no problem with Robin telling AJ about Michael.  It may not have *exactly* been her place, but she could see how Carly was manipulating the entire situation.  It also ruined her romantic relationship with Jason for good.  Jason and Sonny were furious with Robin and practically ran her out of town, so I think we were to believe she was the bad guy.  It was a bit out of character for Robin to spill, but KMc was leaving the show.
