*Premieres Saturday May 2, 2015 at 9PM/8c. on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries!

Storyline: Hannah Swensen is the shop owner of the Cookie Jar, where much of the town's gossip percolates along with the strong coffee. But when a mysterious murder occurs, Hannah turns into a culinary detective and finds herself trying to solve the crime while getting caught in an unexpected romantic mystery of her own. LMAO! I can't. She'll undoubtedly want to come back to DAYS, eventually (if it hasn't been cancelled first).

I STILL think Jessica Fletcher really committed every crime on the show (and was just very good at hiding it), but I digress. LOL

my grandma would get mad when we watched Murder She Wrote and I always told her that Jessica Fletcher was probably the real killer. Everywhere that woman went someone ended up dead

OMG! Brilliant. Now I will never be able to watch the show the same way again--and I'm only about to start season 2. That's a lot of seasons left.

Those Hallmark TV-movies are actually a pretty consistent source of income if an actor gets a foothold in them. They're one of the reasons Mathison hasn't had to go back to soaps (thank goodness...). And several end up getting turned into series.

This one with AS is a movie franchise. I posted about that awhile back. I don't knock the Hallmark movie Hussain because like Carl pointed out if an actor is liked by Hallmark they get several movies and a possible series. Now those crappy 1 off Lifetime movies I bash all the time.

Barbara Crampton horror movie on the way.

http://www.ew.com/article/2015/05/04/barbara-crampton-starring-horror-movie-we-are-still-here-haunt-cinemas-june-5

Written and directed by first-time filmmaker Ted Geoghegan, the film stars Andrew Sensenig (Upstream Color), Lisa Marie (Mars Attacks), and genre veterans Barbara Crampton and actor-director Larry Fessenden. Not that every festival attendee was familiar with the latter pair’s work. At a Q&A following the film’s Saturday night screening, one audience member provoked peals of laughter from his fellow cinemagoers when he asked if either of the duo—whose combined terror flick credits include You’re Next, From Beyond, Cabin Fever 2, Stake Land, FX’s vampire show The Strain, werewolf saga Late Phases, and cannibal tale We Are What We Are, to name but a few—had ever appeared in a horror movie before.

Poor Barbara.

Season 2 is one of the best if not the best season of Murder She Wrote.

Poor Barbara indeed. Someone at Y&R needs to call her and bring her back as Leanna Love - STAT!!

Noooooooooooooooooo. She'd be a murderous slut within two weeks!

The less vets present/ruined, the better!

Let those disgusting 'newbies' take the fall!

Season 2 is one of the best if not the best season of Murder She Wrote.

Good to hear! I'll be starting soon.

Well, the cancellation bear got Battle Creek. Poor Aubrey Dollar (Marina, GL).. she can't buy a break. Hopefully she lands in another longer-lasting project real soon.

6.5 million viewers... that's enough to get you renewed at NBC, ABC or Fox. CBS is the most arrogant network when it comes to deciding which shows are good enough to stay.

Hallmark movies and series are generally good, too. Very positive, feel-good stuff, which is perfect in an era where everything else is desperate to be dark and moody. I need to catch up on season 2 of Cedar Cove before it returns this summer.

With demos like Battle Creek it likely wouldn't last on some of those networks either.

Yeah, I worried about those demos a bit. Funny thing is CBS research said it tested well with people who watched The Good Wife, and I thought it was more compatible with Blue Bloods. lol

Ya gotta wonder how long before some producers just say screw it and go straight to Hulu or Netflix with their series.
