I don't think they looked at it from the perspective of it not fitting in with the types of programs in the Nick at Nite timeslot. I think they looked at it from a demo perspective. What they did was wedge it in between the last teen show and the first sitcom to get the ones who don't change the channel right away. The second showing is in between sitcoms to catch the older viewers. They're also showing it on Teen Nick.

I don't know about MTV but this is definitely not for ABC Family. Poor quality aside, I don't think they'd want to sustain a daily show and it looks like they are trying to get out of the soap business. I'm guessing by the end of the year SoapNet will be history. They're just working out fees for Disney Jr. and that's supposed to be the only reason that some providers are still carrying SoapNet.

Nickelodeon needs an overhaul. They've got two formulas: foreign imports (mainly Australian) and Dan Schneider productions. Any original non-Dan Schneider shows are pretty much left to flounder and it's anyone's guess when they air.

I don't find it to be all that bad either. It's not top-notch drama nor is the acting anything great, but I've developed a certain level of interest in it to see what happens. And I want it to work so that other networks might be inspired to take on the telenovela format. Just think if someone decides to create an 80-episode "Edge Of Night"-type of story arc. That would be so great!

I can only hope this type of sub-par effort will not be rewarded with good ratings.

You're thinking optimistically in thinking that if this works that someone will be inspired to create something even better.

I'm thinking pessimistically or maybe even realistically in supposing that if this works, someone will figure that churning out more mediocrity pays and that viewers are happy to settle. I don't think it will lead to anything more qualitative. Success would proably encourage mass production of more rubbish.

Kind've enjoyed tonight's show. Liked having characters blend together at the opening of Eddie's father's new club. Keeping my eye on troublesome Tyler too, even though I kinda felt sorry for him in this episode. And I enjoyed seeing James Franco again. I'm finding that this show becomes a tad more interesting as it progresses.

I watched a little of this on Friday and it really hasn't gotten much better.

Eddie is a pretty lame superstar. All he seems to care about is Chloe and I cannot even see what it is he is supposed to see in her that makes her the love of his life.

Their conversations don't consist of any real substance.

This guy is young and a teen heartthrob and all he cares about is proposing to her.

The club opening was so so. His performance was pretty lackluster. If that was supposed to be his version of serenading Chloe before publicly proposing then it was a poor song choice.

I'll check the info until I see that Eddie has grown a spine or brain. This is total mush that seems more like it was penned by a ninth grader with a crush on Eddie.
