Frankly the same song and dance with Nicole, Sami, EJ, Rafe has gotten old and played out. Both Nicole and Rafe as characters would benefit from moving on. Hopefully Rafe and Carrie do move forward in some way and I think they have missed an opportunity to move Nicole on post EJ. Its boring now and with EJ there is always someone else. This has beem happening now for 4 years with them. How about a Jack/Nicole/Jennifer triangle. This show never does anything new with Jack - SSDD. He and Nicole could find some common bond and it would move her on from the toxic 4some. But then Sarah's character of Madison is now a snooze as are Brady/Madison and I had high hopes for her too.They need female rivalries, real ones. Kate/Madison's potential IMO has been wasted and watered down. None of the characters barring Will have any fire on this show now. It seems the writers are or have been told to play it safe. I don't think DOOL is bad just boring and I have become apathetic to it for the most part.

That's how I feel. DOOL has all the vets but nothing is happening. What happened to all the big stories/surprises the HWs promised us??

I actually loved EJ and Nicole back in 2008 when they were fresh and new and EJ seemed to be ready to move on from Sami. Nicole was brilliant during the baby switch but what has hurt her character is doing the about face with EJ. These writers seem to be about placating couples fanbases to an extent so we get a Nicole now who is truly irrelevent other than as EJ's sex toy. Her rivalry with Jennifer is stupid because the mayor storyline is just another dud of a story, no real stakes involved. They will probably give Nicole a baby because thats all her character has been about for 4 years now and again placating fanbases. The last thing this show needs is more baby nonsense after years of it. I do agree about Jack and Jennifer but Corday won't ever agree to any sort of split for them where Jack gets to move on.

Nicole is kind of on an island now, no family or friends on canvas anymore. But Ari has chemistry with everyone and they could move her onto any male on the canvas. I don't care about Billie, to me its just another stunt cast move but I do think a Billie/Jack/Nicole triangle would be 1000 times better.

LOL..how about John and Marlena talking about how Bo and Co. thought of checking so and so to get him out of jail??...That has been repeated so many times already...lol...in 2 days...lol..move along the story HWs....

I tried catching up and I can't get over how boring this show is. It's the soap I want to enjoy the most, with the larger amount of stories/characters I'm interested in right now, but it isn't working. I don't mind a slow moving soap (RH, Y&R and PSNS are my faves), but this is more dull than anything. Hopefully things get kicking soon. They need to stop saying they're setting things up or building because that is a load of garbage. They simply don't know how to pace and stagger their stories so you have something interesting going on everyday. It's also about time Lexie got something to do since they are featuring her more. It's a waste of money if she's just a talk to. Goes for Kate and many others as well.

Also, is it just me or does Nicole seem pointless? I know her character was a huge hit under Higley, but I just haven't felt anything for her post Crystal Galore. She's a dull heroine, IMO.

Is Alice Horton the goddamn Riddler?!?! How did this woman, on the verge of death who needed to be visited by all of her family members upstairs as she passed away have time to sashay about town planting secret keys, vouchers and paperweights? I'd say this is getting ridiculous, but Days is ridiculous even on auto-pilot.

I was wondering the same thing. Did she plant all this in the 90's when she was still walking pretty well? Or the 80's since EJ is now 30 something?

I'm really trying to get back into Days to replace OLTL, but the writers are making it extremely difficult. I was a huge fan in the late 70s and 80s, and watched it relatively regularly until the incredibly awful denouement of the Salem Stalker story. Even at its worst, Days was rarely boring. But today's Days is just deadly dull ... and I say that as someone who really enjoys long, talky scenes like soaps used to do. But those scenes have got to be about something and they have to be well acted -- criteria that just aren't being met by the show.

And I agree with the posts above -- the Hope-Bo "banter" was not cute, it was embarrassing (and embarrassingly acted), and the turns in this Alice plot are just asinine. Mr. Corday, get rid of these writers now. It ain't working. At all.

I'd still take this dull version of DAYS over the equally dull but downright depressing GH that's currently airing.

I would also prefer to watch cutesy Bope over Missy Reeves not even try to look conflicted over McHairychest and Jack.
