I think he did a great job in the paralysis story and the decision to shun Matthew in favor of the howler and her 50 year old boyfriend was a big example of how the show died. Too many soap boards and Twitter were lit up with "Matthew's dead" comments. Viewers believed OLTL killed him off, especially since the show is ending. Austin Peck Matthew discovering Destiny really was pregnant - perfect scene!
