One complaint ...no closing credits on Lily finds out her truth about her mother. I am assuming the closing had a commericial tag?

Now watching the flush episode with Barbara and the boathouse explosion.

Seeing the Lily episode reminded me of how great a writer Douglas Marland was.....loved seeing Brian Bloom again as Dusty.....how Hogan and Goutman turned Dusty into a thug...what a crime!

I'm watching the same episode right now. I think I'm going to watch Disc 4 tonight, because that's the one I'm the most excited about.

I got a shipping confirmation e-mail on Thursday too, and I received the package today. (I live in RI, so it's not too far from NYC).

I've only watched a couple of episodes, but aside from the edited openings/closings, everything looks AMAZING. The quality is great, even on the older episodes.

11 of the episodes I've seen already, but there are 9 that I haven't seen before, so I'm super-excited to watch them now. As good as it is to watch old episodes on YouTube and whatnot, I'm really happy to be seeing these on my TV screen.

Well-worth the money. I hope that more people buy the DVD set so that we can get a 2nd set (there are so many more episodes that I can think of that I would love to watch again-- or for the first time.) smile.pngsmile.png

I also hope there are more sets of ATWT with opening and closing credits included.

Yeah, I started the 1996 episode and couldn't get through it. The acting is awful.... or maybe it's the writing? Or probably both! I know they chose it for the John/Lisa storyline, which is memorable, but the rest of the episode is painful to watch. (I actually remember this episode, but of course my 9-year-old self didn't care about the acting or writing at the time.)

I hope that if they do a second set that they include more episodes from the late 80s/early 90s. I don't know what the likelihood would be for more 70s episodes?

Anyway, I'm getting ahead of myself. I'm just going to enjoy this DVD set now. smile.png

I'm not going to see all of them tonight...lol

Going to just see a few. I hope they do release more of ATWT on DVD.

Me neither. I think I'm going to watch the first episode from Disc 4, then change it to Golden Girls. LOL

LOL...just want to leave some for later...hehe

BTW...checked the Lily episode and it didn't have a commericial tag so why wasnt the closing included?

Love the Golden Girls

Which one is your favorite episode of the DVD collection?

Some sponsor tags were included, so who knows what the deal is with the random cutting of titles. I'm just glad the picture quality is incredible. It truly is beautiful, and the 2000s episodes look better on DVD than they did when they originally aired. And I always love seeing 70s-early 80s stuff remastered like this because the colors are just fricken VIVID. I wish TV was still that colorful.

I've got to say the openings from the classic opening to the flush opening look very good and crystal clear with vibrant colors as you mentioned. Better than what it looked back in 87 and 2000.....

Ok..so the John and Lucinda episode has commercial tag and wasnt edited out...lol

So why were some edited out?? lol

This makes no sense at all.

Just glanced at disk 4 and only "John takes a fall" episode doesn't have an opening. Very weird considering the rest do but with commericial tags too...lol

I can't take this waiting lol. I'm so jealous of all of you guys. I will hope it arrives tomorrow.

I am interested in your thoughts when you get them. You will probably get it tomorrow or for sure Wednesday. It took 6 days for mine to arrive.

I liked the picture qualtiy...only disappointments....carrying case for DVDs could have been better....the DVDs themselves are red with the last globe version. I thought the disks were going to be pictures of CZP, Van Hansis and Don Hastings and Kathryn Hays like they are featured on the website and amazon..but besides that and the editing of the closing...grrrr...I am happy with the episodes....characters I'd thought I would never see on my tv screen again are back....like Connor which is on 2 episodes that I know of so far...and other great characters I have missed.

I was genuinely surprised at how much Nancy is featured on the set. Of course, she's in all of the anniversary episodes, but she also pops up in most of the "secrets" episodes as well as a bunch of the others. Go 'head, Nancy-girl!
