Yes and I thank the Lord every day that no other soap saw fit to hire her lol. I always thought Bobby was too good of a character for them to waste on her, John Enos' chemistry with MTS was off the charts.

I didn't mind her until they forced her together with Bobby (at Lago's expense).

And yes Enos chemistry with MTS was indeed off the charts.

Too bad they were dropped (which you can thank Braeden for).

I wouldn't mind seeing Terri Conn as the NuHeather *dodges*

Oh now I really can't wait to read Carl's response to this one. I know how he adores her.

I wasn't always a fan of Vail Bloom's, but after enduring Riegel I'd have her back in a heartbeat.

Not that Y&R doesn't have a thousand more pressing issues to address than the casting of Heather.

I wonder what dead animal (after the rabbit on AS THE WORLD TURNS and the porcupine on OLTL) they'd saddle her with this time! A chipmunk? No, wait, we've been there already w/ Kevin. How about a woodchuck then? Or a possum?

Vail had chemistry with everybody and she looked and felt like a Bell actress. It's a very specific type of actor that works on these shows which is why they often went unknown with recasts or extremely AGAINST type (Peter Bergman). Vail Bloom reminded me of Lauralee Bell and Brenda Epperson and Eileen Davidson and just fit. She also looked so much like the woman who played her mother. She had romantic chemistry with the guys, played well off women and was fire with Doug Davidson. Her biggest problem was them having her as an ADA which she felt too young for. I liked her best as just a lawyer or when she worked for Jabot.

Maybe she wasn't the best, but she grew and she had all the right elements. Reminds me of an early Chrishell Strause AMC episode that aired during the SOAPnet marathon. I had no idea she was so bad back then, but you could see the potential.

My feelings exactly. Thank you for putting it so well.

From your mouth to God's (well, Bill Bell's) ears. May that horrendous screen hog never return!

John Enos, OTOH... that hottie can come back anytime.

Asexual, easily bored, little chemistry with co-stars - I'm surprised Y&R hasn't hired her already.

The problem I felt with Heather is that she was of no consequence. I saw no inner life within the character and I had no clue what she wanted. She was a day player who was used as a plot device whenever anyone was in legal trouble and unlike LeBlanc and Hennesy from GH who were in similarly confined roles I never felt Bloom enthused the written in the corner character with any depth or interest. She never even seemed to be a real character. She only existed when someone was in court.

Michael was a much more complex character than that for years, so LeBlanc had more to fall back on.

Vail wasn't a fantastic actress but when they gave her chances, she did OK. They just rarely did. She was great in her story with CE's Adam, and she had potential in the 5 minutes they took to resolve her relationship with Paul.
