AMC - Possible Ending/Cliffhanger

It's obvious to me that Budig is leaving. It's kind of obvious she hates AMC and doesn't want to be there anymore. Same with MEK and AM. They are over it.

I wouldn't put AM in that category. She most definitely does not "hate" AMC and if she doesn't want to be there anymore, why is she still open to making appearances on the show? She's ready to branch out and do other things, yes, but I highly doubt she has any resentment towards AMC, based on her most two recent interviews.

Again, if this does come to pass, while a montage of people actually falling and/or dying might not be possible, I wouldn't mind seeing a similar one of just people turning and reacting to JR and his guns set to "You Are My Sunshine."

Khan, I think this is a GREAT idea!

It might be cruel, yes, but everyone whom David has resurrected thanks to Project Orpheus (I'm not even going to enumerate at this point!) should be among those marked for execution, so to speak. As I said in another thread, you cannot play God with people's lives the way David has w/o upsetting the balance of nature. No doctor should use science and medicine, which God gave to man in order to heal and to enlighten, in order to decide who dies and who doesn't; that's God's job. So, yeah, what JR might do seems effed up (and no doubt, if they're going in this direction, then it's probable that either he won't survive or he'll be in prison or the psych ward for life) but if we look at this from a religious or spiritual bent (as Agnes Nixon, herself a devoutly religious woman, might want us to) God needed to close His eyes or turn His head at this moment and allow this to happen in order to restore the balance between life and death and remind the folks of Pine Valley of things they have forgotten.

Okay, now I'm shutting up, lol.

Good point but if David is still in jail ,(maybe reading a magazine when the shooting is going on) David may be the person on the show least hurt by this. I mean Dixie and Tad (if they live) would have to think that they could of helped JR more instead of hanging out in chickensuits trying to relive their youth when JR was going bonkers.

God I hope JR doesn't shoot up Pine Valley. If they want the Chandlers on AMC 2.0 they need JR. They can't make him a cold-blooded killer and have the character continue. It would be better to perhaps have JR start shooting, then someone(say Dixie) pleads for him to stop, and then he stops but then puts the gun to his own head. That puts him in the mental facility for a while but he can come back from that.

Yes JaneAusten, JY said JR isn't getting a happy ending.

I just have a problem with making a legacy character a mass murderer. I'm sorry but there's no redeeming that. I personally can't immagine anyone but JY playing JR but the role could be recast but not if they make JR an attempted mass murderer.

I think JR will commit suicide.

First of all for actors who don't go to AMC like Budig and Minshew and others who cares. I don't mean to sound crass but these people are actors playing parts. If their roles are so key to new AMC RECAST. I realize we all develop attachments to the actors, but on a soap opera which is a continual non ending drama recasting is part of the norm. Granted in recent years it hasn't been as prolific mostly due to the limited parts available now, but there is not one character on this show that can't be recast other than Erica Kane. As for PP working around AM's schedule why should they when there are likely thousands of actors out there who would kill for that part. Add in the fact that there are a TON of named former soap actors out of work. They recast Greenlee once and the actress did a commendable job. Bianca has been recast and if Bianca who ER really put her stamp on can be certainly Kendall can. I say the same for JR. I like JY but recasting might be a chance to also change the characterization a bit.

As for the shooting if there is one I am beginning to think maybe JR intends to but ends up backing off and its Zach's casino contacts THe PO story was incredibly stupid but are those people who wanted Zach dead gone? Maybe JR ends up saving people versus shooting people up and gets killed himself in the process.

As for the idea that the people who came back from the dead should be killed as some sort of attempt to restore "balance" and put gods work back where it belongs in gods hands, thats a sort of grey concept to try to get across to the audience. I actually love the idea but I don;t believe they headed down this path intending to again kill off a fan fave DIxie who's been dead how many times already? Zach no comment

At this point, regardless of what PP does with the show in the end, I'll never ever forgive them for making my show end its network run like this. Never.

PP isn't writing this though.

Good point but if David is still in jail [... he] may be the person on the show least hurt by this.

Ah, but who's to say David won't be hurt by this? David could easily suffer a heart attack and subsequent out-of-body experience while alone in his jail cell. Instead of going toward the light, however, David's soul is drawn toward...somewhere else. (Cue Vanessa's spirit's return!) And if VI agrees to stay w/ the show, then you could say this ordeal was/is his first steps on the path toward redemption. (Of course, I'd have that path end with David becoming a minister, but that's neither here nor there.)

^Something has to happen to David though, if they do this, because we know he could swoop in and save everyone otherwise. LOL So he'd either have to be in jail/with a patient at OP/somewhere else he shouldn't be or one of the victims. Either way, he needs to be kept from the victims in order for us to believe that any of them are really dead.

David could be shot as well. JR pretty much added him to his "Rot in hell before I get there" list in fridays episode.

I really hope they don't try and perpetuate this Project Orpheus story by having David alive and then he becomes the one to bring the "people" bac to life based on who's re-signing.

Until/unless VI signs on, I don't think that will be an issue.

I like, how based on just about nothing, people are saying the finale will suck. LOL. Us soap fans are so jaded and are so used to being disappointed. It's quite sad.

Yes, let's copy one of Dynasty's and Days' most derided storylines for our series finale.

God, don't let this be true.

The Garden of Eden yeah, but the Coronation Massacre itself wasn't derided though was it?

Unfortunately, some appear to have been disappointed yesterday, too. sad.png

Look, I didn't watch the finale "live," just whatever spare clips have been made available thus far. But I oppose(d) the use of cliffhangers on principle. I didn't think it was fair to the fans who probably won't follow the show online, and I still don't. It's nice to have some lingering questions that leave you with good thoughts -- Did Adam just propose to Brooke? Did Randi just tell Jesse and Angie they're going to be grandparents? Did Scarl-, er, Erica vow she won't give up on her man w/out a fight? -- but capping 41 years of TV with JR possibly putting a cap in someone's ass? That's not right.
