IMO it's much more than SLIGHTLY sexist especially with Liam now starting to sound like your friendly neighborhood pimp with his "if you love me"(paraphrased) routine. MISOGYNY comes to mind.

This is something B&B has done before and it's always tacky. Bridget's virginity was prized by the Forresters and they had a meltdown when Deacon had them listen in to her cherry popping. Probably tackiest of all was the story where Jessica dated Dylan and took things slow, which is part of the reason Dylan had an affair with what turned out to be her mother. This continued when she dated Sly, who wanted to drug her and have sex with her so she'd get pregnant and he'd be tied to her money forever. When Jessica turned the tables on him, he responded by raping her in an alley and nearly setting her on fire. Soon after she vanished and was pretty much never seen or mentioned again. Hideous stuff.

Hope's sex life, or lack thereof, is literally all that everybody on the show is talking about. I'm waiting for the episode with one Brad Bell's favorite scenarios where all the characters peripheral to the story like Jackie, Nick, Owen, etc. (got to meet their contractual guarantees somehow) are sitting at lunch discussing her virginity, too. And it will be juxtaposed with Hope walking in on Liam and Steffy or perhaps the wedding to which the Jackie M gang aren't invited.

Not to mention when Steffy was on her Hope tirade, she flat out told Taylor it wasn't fair to Liam that she's making him wait and vehemently added what woman does that?

It's one thing if Hope wants to wait. It's not unheard of. However it's highly offensive when there's a thinly veiled message that women must put out to keep their men satisfied and if they don't they're either being selfish or/and there's something wrong with them.

Steffy isn't faring any better since she's being portrayed as a sex object and has no problem being Liam's jump off to get him away from Hope.

This storyline IS misogynistic. I'm beginning to loathe it.
