I couldn't tell from the article whether he was still on GH at the time. I guess he was - just confused by one of the early sentences.

Beyond the future work in Star Wars, it's also oddly prescient in "geek culture," which only really started to tiptoe around the mainstream in the late '70s, and steadily increased with each decade. It's something I have almost never, ever seen discussed in soap magazines outside of this article. At this point in time soap actors were either talking about husbands/wives/babies, feminism, money saving tips for families, playing guitar, therapy, or the benefits of EST.

I've seen that Anniversary promo many times and I still have no idea who the couple is from the 1965 portion. It drives me nuts not knowing the characters/actors.

I didn't realize they still used this background music up to 1988.

More tense than anything I've seen on GH in years (aside from Maurice trying to remember his lines...).

It's a pretty fantastic storyline. Sets up the Jerome family and Duke too. I re watched the whole thing on YouTube a year ago.

I was browsing some online newspaper archives this weekend looking at old summary listings. In the process, I came across this short article I thought some might be interested in reading from November 23, 1986. 0sheQM.pngdK4YMp.png

I hope Sharon's doing okay, too. I haven't read of any update on her condition in the last couple of years.

Thanks again.

I'm surprised Ron has never brought Terry back. You'd think he'd be all over Laurelton, and she is a Spencer, sort of.

Terri's husband , Patrick O'Connor will be played by Cam Mathison, and Alicia Minshew will be back from the dead step-sister BJ, a heartless wenchclosedeyes.jpgph34r.pngwhistling.jpg

You're welcome. I have a few more articles I found which I'll post here and in the OLTL thread later on this week.

I was interested in looking at the summaries and related articles from the mid to late-80s era of GH. I remember seeing bits and pieces of the show back then during breaks from school, though I don't remember a lot of specifics. Beyond the mainstay characters (i.e., the Q's, Bobbie, Anna, Duke, etc.), it seems like there were a lot of attempts at new characters that didn't end up catching on or inspiring fondly remembered storylines. But it makes for interesting reading about now.

GH didn't really know what it wanted to be, which seemed to continue until about 1992.
