Thanks!  This Feb.2025 SOD article quotes,
in part, an SOD mini-interview from 2021.
I found that here:
https://www.soapoperadigest.com/photos/scene-and-heard-1707864/

It was a single block of text, as a caption to an image.
(sorry but there were no paragraphs/spacing).
(The image was credited as being "from twitter" but doesn't say whose twitter).
This was for the SOD "Scene and Heard" feature, in September 2021:
Here's the image and caption:

According to  Jon Lindstrom (Kevin/ Ryan), the creative evolution of his characters on GH is thanks in no small part to the contributions of one of the show’s former scribes, Michele Val Jean. He says her influence on Kevin can be felt “in every way possible. The character was created out of necessity to, at that time, replace Ryan with someone who looked like me and who didn’t need to be redeemed, since Ryan was unredeemable. [Then-Head Writer] Claire Labine threw Michele the reins and then she and I talked a lot about what ways Kevin could be differentiated from Ryan. Michele is an incredibly articulate, well-read person. I think Kevin’s syntax, the way he speaks, never would have developed clearly without her.” Pairing Kevin with Lucy was “all Michele,” he adds. “It was her idea to put them together. I think her take on it was something like, ‘What if Lucy goes to therapy, not because she thinks she needs it, but because she thinks Kevin is cute?’ She pitched it to Claire and she told Michele to run with it. And man, did she ever! The story of how Lucy chased Kevin, who didn’t trust his own heart then, was her doing. She wrote all those scenes, so she was, in a word, indispensable. She not only wrote the Kevin/Lucy stuff, but she was primary writer on all the Kevin/Ryan scenes going forward. She told me the first significant thing she wrote of Ryan was his first confession in the police station with Sean and Mac, and that she fell in love with his ‘crazy’ from those scenes and wanted to write him every chance she got. Ryan was so well-defined in a twisted sort of way, and only Michele can pull that off.” Their collaboration was constant in those days. “We talked all the time! I’d come up to her office — she was working in the building back when writers did that — and we’d throw ideas around. Things like motivation, backstory, Kevin’s thoughts and feelings about Ryan and their separate history, Kevin’s guilt, nature vs. nurture, all kinds of angles. We got to be great friends through that process, so there’s an added bonus. We still are today. She has so much more to give. She should be doing feature films.”

The new SOD article Feb. 16, 2025 that @Vee linked to, quotes some of that,
and then adds new quotes from Lindstrom about his casting on BTG, and his continued respect for MVJ.

I remember this. It was barely there and was more of a very minor side beat to Nikolas and Courtney getting it on, with Courtney and Lucky being somewhat jealous of the awkward situation. It never went anywhere. I think it was only a means to an end to make Nik and Courtney jealous/out of sorts and help to trigger their affair (which had many factors, including Nik's frayed relationship with Emily), and also make both them and GV's Lucky look worse. Out of all the characters in that story, Liz and Jax were the ones with the least airtime and perspective.

Per Tune In Tomorrow:

February 7 – 11, 1977

Jeff told Heather he can't marry her, even though she's pregnant with his child, because he reconciled with Monica. Lesley found a bitter Laura in a Canadian commune. Diana worried about Mike having nightmares.

So, that would be in line with the 2-8-1977 reference.

They were taping about 2 weeks ahead of time in 1977.  So, perhaps 12-28-76 was a screen test or something.

An intriguing part of Laura's past that has never been fully exploited, IMO.  It would've made so much more sense to tie Cyrus to that part of her life, for example, than to make him and Martin her insta-half-siblings.

    • A new day in Salem… and a new day for Days.  I like the way everybody found out and absorbed the news about John’s death, and how they all eventually found their way to Marlena’s to offer their condolences. I’m not particularly sure why they waited until the next day to tell everybody but I don’t really mind it.  We finally got Roman’s perspective! His scenes with Kayla were one of the best parts of today. I’m glad that Roman is thankful for everything that John did for his kids. I agree with posters who said that he should’ve had a scene like this with John, but I’m happy we got this at least.  Julie was used very well today too. She’s definitely the best person for Marlena to have scenes with at the moment. Hopefully, Julie continues to be there for her. And yes, I totally agree with Marlena and Belle sending EJ away when he came to the apartment. I’m curious to see what’s going to happen to his and Belle’s relationship in the aftermath of all this. And, while I enjoyed most of Brady and Kristen’s scenes, I still think the ship has sailed for them. Hopefully, the aftermath of John’s death causes Brady to finally end this thing with her once and for all.  And, I see a lot of people were wearing some kind of shade of purple today.

    • Wow, I love that current and former actors are participating in this. I barely recognize Staci Greason! She looks fine, just very different. But I will be happy to hear anecdotes from her. I shipped RoJohn and Isabella hard back in the day, and I sobbed buckets in my dorm room at college when Izzy B passed. Honestly, I'm interested in everyone's stories. Drake seemed like he was well loved among the cast.
    • When she first appeared, I was sure she was setting Tyrell up for a prank. She was too much of a manic pixie dream girl- I wasn't surprised Tyrell also became suspicious. Now I'm not so sure. If Jessica genuinely likes Tyrell, it seems like a missed opportunity to not have started her out as a bully, then we see her gradually catch feelings for Tyrell.  The McBrides are definitely the "C" family of BTG. They always get last priority. There have been a few times where the Doug/Vanessa/Joey characters reference off screen conversations which seem too important to not show us. Like when Doug thanked Joey for giving him extra time to pay off the loan. When did that happen? Or when we abruptly moved from Vanessa/Joey at Uptown to Vanessa/Doug in the hotel room. The McBrides don't even have their own set - even though Vanessa is a realtor. It's a shame because I am a fan of the characters and actors.

I am also adjusting to KR as Ted but I feel that AM and MJ had way more chemistry as father and daughter than AM and KR. We saw Eva dream of having a real relationship with MJ's version of Ted for months so it's a bit of a bummer not to have that payoff with the original actor except for those scenes in MJ's last episode.  Something I noticed about Eva today is how she takes genuine delight in being a schemer. As badly as she wants to be a Richardson, she still has so much of her mom in her. It was jarring seeing her earnestly promise to steer clear of Leslie in her scene with Ted, then immediately switch attitudes when her mom showed up.  I'm very surprised with how quickly the accident story has been moving along. I was sure that it would be months if not years before people figured out it was Leslie on the motorcycle, not to mention responsible for the potassium overdose. I'm looking forward to seeing how MVJ and Guza avoid writing Leslie into a corner.  Finally, I have been loving the Articulettes story. Bonita Brisker was just the right amount of OTT - remember Sharon is supposed to be even more angry than Tracy is. If Sharon didn't come in swinging, people would say she fell flat. The way Sharon and Tracy describe the breakup is so Supremes-meet-Original Recipe Destiny's Child. I get the sense that MVJ is re-writing the Return to Love Tour as a roman a clef, and I love it. I'm looking forward to finding out what the secret they share is. If Dante Green is as shady as Berry Gordy was, it's something dark. If/when they go through with the reunion, I expect Dante to show up and claim to own the Articulettes trademark in a Lou Pearlman-esque twist.
    • Other than hanging out with Liz, all of Lucky's stories have been stalled out or dropped; the relationship with his son; his wanderlust. He hasn't been involved in any of the action/adventure or con artist stuff. I don't think he's even had a scene with Sidwell since the latter came to town. He's a real after thought. I doubt he's long for the show.

    • I started a separate thread for the same tribute, but of course it can be discussed wherever. doesn't matter where. Fyi  Jason Cook, Staci Greason, and Eileen Davidson will be there as well as Reckell and some of the current cast Thread for Live tribute to Drake https://boards.soapoperanetwork.com/topic/68987-days-currentformer-actors-live-video-tribute-for-drake-hogestyn
    • Seeing Nicole and Martin together reminds me of watching Alice with Mickey Horton in the 90s and 00s. The seem more like peers than mother and son.  The younger half of the cast (35ish and below) is playing younger, and the older half (35+) is playing older.
