I liked Cole. I thought he was returning. (rumor) I went on google to find out when, and apparently he isn't. He hasn't been asked back.

Which...reading his tweets....he does come across as a kid with an 'attitude' in the REAL world!

NOT a hat person. Maybe that is why I don't like him??

Not really into teen story's, I usually ff thru them.

OLTL have been the worst in recent history. I dont get why they keep putting so much focus on them. Ever since they created this teen set around Starr 5 years ago, its sucked and they get way too much airtime

I hated the idea of Matthew dying mostly because the story would suck, and also because Bo already did the Weekend at Bernie's with one dead son, but mostly because the story would suck.

David: Pa Stepnora don't be sad!

Nora: My grieving is the size of the moon!

<Rex pouts>

Bo: Balsom, you doin' OK?

Rex: I want revenge. Hey, how much are his kidneys worth?

Nora: When I'm through, Nate Ford will get the death penalty. Just like he gave my son!

David: I wish I had that hooker's number. She knew how to raise the dead. Oh, too soon, Pa?

Bo: Balsom, how are you with this?

<Rex juts his lower lip>

Rex: I can't get a good price on this spleen.

Nora: Your Honor, I demanded this murderer pay to the fullest letter of the law!

Danielle: He's INNOCENT!!!! INNNOOOCCEEENNNTTTT!!!!!

<Nate looks confused>

Tea: Your Honor, may I point out that opposing counsel neglected to notice item #43494 on form #2390002.

Judge: You're right. Case dismissed.

Nora: What? Wha-what? This is an injustice!

David: Cheer up, Stepnora. I've already got the tribute movie in the works. How about Wheelchariots of Fire? Or Coma Chameleon?

Rex: Anybody want a spare liver? I need a beach house in Boca.

LMAO....Ron might want to hire you for his writing team after reading this.

For me, Cole was the lesser of the two evils that followed, James and Baz. Cole at least had a connection to Marty and Patrick. The Fords and Tomas's insta-family are pointless and don't serve a purpose at all.

Oh god, do not even mention that "I sound like I have marbles in my mouth when I talk" character or actor ever again...I was anti-Cole from the day he was retconned into a boy and appeared onscreen with a horrrrrrrible actor in the role who never got any better.

THIS. I don't mind Cole the character, but I would prefer a recast. He and Griffin on AMC, I get fixated on the nasty sounds they make when they talk and I will literally mute the TV.ph34r.png

James is weird because I almost feel sorry for actor and character. There's this underlying kicked puppy sadness about him, like he senses Starr will ultimately not choose him because he's too sweet or something. And Baz is such a little stankamuffin, I don't know what Starr sees there really. Really, Cole probably was the perfect match for her. Good heart, even balance of toughness and sensitivity, f'd up enough to make her feel good about herself, smart and experienced enough to call her on her [!@#$%^&*] without sounding like a little bitch.

Haha I feel the same about the actor who plays Griffin as well...

I could totally handle a Cole recast...I just really really really dislike Brandon Buddy's [airquotes]acting[/airquotes]

The best teen was Markko...so naturally he had to go.

And he was too good for any girl on the canvas. I don't think one young female has matched his level-headedness and sound nature, with the possible exception of Destiny, but Markko/Destiny is all types of wrong (and maybe even a little illegal)...

At least Griffin is hot.

I don't even think recasting Cole will help me like the character.

I am hoping, if this show finds itself on cable, it isn't the the Starr Manning & Posse hour.

Id prefer Brandon Buddy back but I could take a recast. What about AMC's Floydd Widderbocker as nuCole?

And Matthew is in a coma. sad.png

To my surprise, Matthew became my favorite character to grow out of these past few years of OLTL viewing. A good young actor who made the most of his material with a hilarious deadpanned snarkiness that so many young actors (some of whom are on the show now) would have overplayed and ruined. I don't know what they're working on, and Nora's desperation/Destiny's agonizing is good stuff, but EA is too good of an actor to be wasted on this material for too long. I would be thrilled if Matthew and Destiny continued on the online/cable show. Say what you will about SE's ability, but these characters have provided a much needed balance to the Starr and Fords dominated youth scene.

Maybe if Destiny were played by a competent actress...I felt bad enough for Jason Tam given who his contemporaries already were.

I really loved Eddie these last two years or so as well..He definitely became the much better actor out of the two Aldersons..Could not stand him as a child.

:lol: I think he's too sharp for Cole. Cole has to have a bit of that empty-headed alcoholic frat boy thing about him. For instance, in another SORASed dimension or whatever, the guy who plays Brody could have been a Cole (imho). On the other hand, if the second Marty (Christina Chambers? was that her name?) was still in the role, I could imagine Asher from AMC as Cole. He would be like the Fumero to Yorlin's Cristian, the spruced up with less grit version.
