This deal is for 10 years, so if the 250 million each is right that is 25 mil a year per show.

Yes the unions got the contract salary numbers, until there are numbers for minimums and such they can't really do much else right?

soapsindepthabc Soaps In Depth ABC

Just got a bit of clarification re: #AMC actors. They have NOT been approached re: contracts. Prospect Park made a first offer to UNIONS.

I already said that after watching Walt WIlley on the local talk show here the other day not the broadcast people kept taughting. He was pretty clear in the interview I saw it was not a contract more of a proposal

I think what the avctors got were the proposals that WGA DGA & AFTRA Agreed To

Then they sent an actual offer to Lucci

All the actors got proposals but susan is the first one to get a contract offer

I'm sure we will have most of our answers this week or by August 31st when the AMC actors contracts expire with ABC. But Deadline did say Susan Lucci was the first to receive an actual offer implying a contract that she is mulling over.

Errol's right; I heard the same. Sorry, Max.

I've been wrong many times before, and I have no problem eating crow and admitting that I was wrong this time as well. Given Errol's stellar track record, even the most skeptical persons (like myself) now have to realize that ABC will not be involved in the creative control of these shows.

Proposal/contract offer isn't necessarily the same thing. You can't propose something to the majority and offer something to one. Doesn't work that way. Union is a union and Susan is still part a part of it.

I expect the majority of Prospect's plans to come out this week and most definitely before 8/31. They want to get things rolling before the actors finish filming so they can get the most bang for their efforts at once without having to call agents/managers after the fact.

Thanks for the kind words. I hope I didn't come across any certain way that looked like I was trying to put you down or anything. Wasn't my intention at all, I was just generally commenting.

Based on convo's I've had with ABC as recent as last week, any and all details on AMC and OLTL post ABC have been "ask Prospect Park."

Errol, the kind words are very much deserved. And you most certainly did not come across as though you were trying to put me down. Seriously, you are the kindest and most considerate person I have ever "met" online, and you always go out of your way to make others feel welcome and comfortable.
