By Walt's reaction it seems like he feels its a step downward. He just doesnt seem too excited about it. He might be one who doesnt go the online route. I'm actually glad about his honesty.

So many of you guys are skeptical, I don't blame you but we haven't heard anything YET about the deals (Who is aboard? It is free? ect..)

Just wait and see how this deal plays out. We CAN'T jump to the gun right away.

I will be very shocked if it is free. VERY

I know Jack and Erica have their fans, but I wouldn't be upset if Willey didn't continue. Erica needs to be free of Jack, IMO. They haven't been written well in a really long time. (Dodges bullets from Jack/Erica fans)

I agree 100% Walt is a good actor but I am sorta tired of Erica/Jack at this point.

Glad to see an actor who isn't just saying what people want to hear........ :)

Walt Willey in the dark about ALL MY CHILDREN pickup

"You know as much as I do," Willey told The Times. "Everyone I've spoken to, in terms of actors, not a soul has been contacted."

Willey believes few ALL MY CHILDREN fans are Internet-savvy, and is skeptical about how some might be able to see new episodes.

"It's an interesting choice. The fans have worked very hard on our behalf, but this could be a hollow victory for them," he said.

I prefer this to the "Yay! ZOMG, the fans saved the shows!!" cheerleading.

A lot of people simply aren't going to make the move. Others will. And hopefully this new platform will attract new viewers as well. But let's not fool ourselves, these shows won't be on the TV in the nail salon, beauty shop, waiting room of the car mechanic, etc... That's where a lot of daytime TV gets watched.

My friend from a few pages back loves his soaps but he's a caterer and since he does prep work during the day he keeps the TV on ABC. Web soaps don't fit his life and he's not going to make any effort to watch. PP is going to need to replace him.

Things are going to change. That doesn't mean automatic failure. It just means change.

I'm just so interested in how everything turns out. We all were dangled with this carrot of "the soaps are saved" and it was so last minute that we have nothing else to go on. The cast had no idea and Prospect Park is tightlipped.

Hope we hear more soon.

+1 That is it things are going to change. Whether it is good or bad we will have to see. We just can't keep assuming things.

I think too many people are drawing their own hasty conclusions because it kills them to not "know" what's going on. Nothing's going on right now, so chill.

Your outlook on things are really amusing. And I do mean in a good way. But I agree with Marceline excellent post...there will be change.

Several actors have expressed skepticism and said they don't know what's going on. I think most of them are just trying to go through or be happy for fans, since it's still so early.

I don't agree that it's a "hollow victory." That's a bizarre choice of words when nothing is known about the plans or access.

He doesnt sound so excited about it with his its an interesting choice comment. I dont blame him though. I think he was hoping another network or cable outlet would pick the show up.

He was pretty much written out anyway during Pratt's era. I think he may know that he won't be involved in a new format. After the way he's been on the fringe so much of the last 10-15 years I can't blame him for being dubious. I just don't really like the "hollow victory" line, for whatever reason.

Very good points :)

I know people who love soaps, but can't afford a computer and if they had one would have no idea how to use it. I just hope that they can replace these lost viewers.

So many "never gonna happens" have happened over the past several months. I think it's time to sit back, relax, let the chips fall where they may, and let cynicism take a holiday because it is truly a waste of energy. Nothing wrong with conjecture, but these matters don't warrant our hand-wringing and premature hate.

I think people are right to be skeptical but I disagree with the automatic looking down on any actors or fans who do want to keep the shows going. I've done that too, I often have an elitist attitude when someone likes a soap and I don't, so I'm as guilty as anyone, but with the cancellations I've sometimes felt like there was almost a rush to look down on anything, even putting out a thank you advertisement.

http://rumorfix.com/full-entry/2011/7/11/exclusive-susan-luccis-reaction-to-all-my-children-being-res.html

What would All My Children be like without Susan Lucci?

We can't imagine it -- and we know her fans can't either.

PICTURES: Susan Lucci Let's It All Hang Out In St. Barth's

Now that the daytime soap is being saved and moving online, the girls here are RumorFix were wondering if Susan is staying with the show.

Her rep tells us, "Susan feels this is very good news for the fans of All My Children."

OK -- that's all good and well. But we still want to know, is the 64-year-old staying with the show? "I don't have any information at this time on her plans," the rep says.

There are rumors that the daytime diva is moving to a nighttime soap -- Desperate Housewives. No word on that either yet.
