Members DaytimeFan
Prospect Park is going to have to do whatever they can afford, which, so far, is nothing. But yes, I'd expect 5 days a week of programming, if this is "on demand" entertainment viewers can watch at their leisure, do a marathon on Sunday's if they wish. Members chyti
According to PP own research younger viewers are more likely to watch online then older viewers something that has been stated frequently so while you may know of some older relative or friend who is internet savvy the majority isn't and prefer to watch their shows live. My mom and dad both retired and both tech savvy seem to live a more active life with friends and family instead of spending their time watching tv. I agree with those stating that soaps is more habitual then any thing else break the cycle and you watch less and less. I think primetime, cable works well because it is done in short cycles and/or in your time. Viewers are able to commit more to one hour weekly shows over a couple of weeks because it doesn't interfer with their lives.
Members Chris B
In general younger viewers are more likely to watch video online I agree, but there *are* a lot of older soap fans on the internet. Not as big a number as those who aren't, but they are out there.
Members chyti
Of course there are older soap fans on the internet I don't think anyone is denying that point but the reality is that the soaps have an older viewership and online video watching skews as a majority to younger viewers. PP is going to take a hit with the conversion and they already know that which is why they stated that they only need 10% of the live audience to make a profit online. Members alexisfan07
Oh f#@% From SID's twitter Saw this coming: Sources say Prospect Park won't be moving forward with #AMC, they've decided to focus on #OLTL exclusively. Deets soon...

Members alexisfan07
The resolutions were good except for the cliffhanger. They should release some sort of final novel or magazine or something. They can't end it with Erica possibly being dead!

Members alexisfan07
That's what irritates me most. So annoyed. But yes, I'm emotionally good to go. I also said my goodbyes. It's just sad it had to end like this.

Members dragonflies
No one should be surprised by this, the fact that no AMC actor really seemed gung ho about signing should have been the first clue. I am still pissed we get screwed out of a proper finale for nothing
Members SFK
My 80-something grandparents are tech-savvy longtime AMC fans, and yet I still cannot see them watching online (well, my grandma already said she won't be) for the simple fact that I can't imagine them breaking their 30+ year tradition of sitting in the living room in their recliners eating lunch while they watch vs. making new appointment viewing time at their separate computers, leaning back, arms folded in uncomfortable computer chairs. That rumored Bravo delayed airing thing would definitely be the way for viewers like them.
Members OLTL_fan
Wow that sucks. So AMC ended on a cliffhanger for nothing. I don't think OLTL will make it either sadly. Please RC, give us a REAL ending.
