As for who the actress is that SOD is talking about, my money is on Denise Vasi who's in 2 upcoming movies, 1 of them directed by Stephen Soderbergh starring Channing Tatum and Matthew McConaughey. Sure it's not a Cheri Oteri movie but Denise seems to be doing alright post AMC.

They said a very popular leading lady, so even with the stretching of the imagination she was really neither on AMC. But congrats to Vasi. She's truly s.t.u.n.n.i.n.g. to look at and still on the young enough side, so not surprising she's getting work.

Now, Budig's role in Bad Parents doesn't seem lead, nor does a role in an independent film stand out as a major film role. But I could see this being a case of SOD over-stating something and being a little behind the times - as she does fit the role of leading lady and very popular (although one could argue that last one if they wanted to).

Folks always think all these great talents from soaps will be the ones to move onward and upward.

I'm inclined to agree. Actors should be allowed to announce their own business. It reminds me of when Strasser told everyone Gina T. was leaving the show. Of course DW has no social media outlet as far as I can see so maybe he's just living happily in his Luddite paradise and letting LH tell his news.

My point simply is that wasn't much of a cliffhanger - one shot, David's powers. Definitely not something that would on any level require a blanket of secrecy.

John do you work for PP Public relations firm. I think everyone here is happy about PP picking up these shows but that doesn't mean we have to drink every glass of koolaid they are serving.

Twitter is available to LH but corporations also use twitter and facebook and social networking to reach out to consumers. Under ABC AMC, and OLTL have facebook pages. Y&R has one, Days has one, Days has a twitter account. They could leverage these or how about creating a PP twitter account or facebook page. THey should be the ones announcing this stuff not the actors.

I shudder to think of what damage will furthur be done to Jangie without Debbi. Will they kiill off Angie, presumed dead or something? I can live with that.

If that is the case then I'm really about the get worried because who cares about fast? Wait one hour to put out a decent press release that reaches a heck of a lot more people and media outlets than having Lindsay Hartley tweeting it. I hope for PP's sake that LH jumped the gun and announced it without consulting with them first.

Angela, As for DV's popularity and status as a leading lady, I definitely agree with you but I could chalk that up as well to SOD exaggerating the importance of a character and actress.
