Someone should have warned Carla to not go around a group of AMC fans getting ready to say goodbye to their show by going to The View. I'd find it objectionable if someone cornered her and told her off at Whole Foods and threw poultry at her. (That's a reference to an old story Marcy Walker shared about being at a supermarket and someone through a frozen turkey or chicken her way because Liza Colby was just so evil.)

Insightful and quite realistic article.

"A smaller audience, more specifically targeted through an online network, may yet save the day. We will see. If so, I hope the show’s future is more successful than its recent past."

Sad PP did not realize AMC and OLTL badly need an infusion of fresh EP and writers.

No, it's not like that. The Yankees and the Red Sox play a game. They compete with each other. One will win. Either one will win. You can jeer the other side because it puts them at a disadvantage.

AMC and that food program are not competing with each other, so it's absolutely pointless to boo someone who has no control over anything whatsoever. Besides her atrocious style. But that's not the point.

I agree there. And yes--before Stuart died there was a ton of gossip (on the usual sites of course) about how he was sick, wanted out, tc. I think some of this was obviously exagerated, but it is true that the last few times he played Stuart were... a bit disappointing--he didn't seem as comitted to it in all honesty, like he was tired. It's a damn hard schedule to keep up so long. Of course he might have been able to get a lifetime contract the way Ruth Warrick, James Mitchell, etc, did and make the odd appearance over the following years when he could, but I think it was a different situation.

Jenny back from the dead would have been too much for me--she was killed on screen in 1984! But a ghost appearnace woulda been nice, still with all the returns I would have liked they would have needed at least one more week.

I have no affection for The Chew whatsoever, but i have to say booing one of its members is pretty juvenile. It's one thing to complain to ABC, though it's pretty futile, but as others said, she did just take a job.
