I actually like that idea. I generally try to stay away from fantasy casting but I really like that. I'm also still on board with whoever suggested Mark Lawson as nu-JR Chandler. I'd also like to re-state my vote for Daphne Duplaix as a Randi recast. I won't even attempt to think of a Frankie recast. Cornelius was perfect. Since we're losing the Hubbards, now might be a good time to bring back the Fryes. I believe Derek 1.0 is on the west coast. Although to be honest, I'm not expecting much in the way of diversity on AMC.com.

I can't see it

I absolutely love CSJ as Frankie but I have thought of some possible replacements before since I really would like to see the character on the show still (though it's unfortunately unlikely sad.png ) Pooch Hall is at the top of my list!! Also I think Tristan Wilds could make a good Frankie although he might be to young.

IA. I think part of the issue with shows like AMC and GH is the characters they have shoved on non stop for years with no break or balance with other stories. Its why Carly, Jason, and Sonny are such used up characters. Kendall, ZAch, Greenlee, Ryan could all use a break. The problem is when they are on so much you burn through too much story too quickly, AMC could easily survive without even Erica I think if you brought Brooke back, Jamie and rebuilt the MArtins and if they could recast JR with a strong actor and maybe bring Skye back. Although RC's acting is very rusty these days.

ITA but IMO everything we've seen and heard about PP tells me that they aren't interested in rebuilding, innovating or evolving these shows. They're all about the status quo and if the news from Deadline can be trusted - and I'm not sure it can - PP would rather flush away the money they've already spent on AMC rather than try something original.

I am not trying to dampen the AMC fever but honestly what have they spent on AMC? Sets? I have no idea what kind of investment that is at this point? They paid outright for the rights to AMC or is payment simply fees if they decide to move forward producing the show? If they plan on producing other shows sets can be reused. And status quo is disappointing. THis canvas needs a lot of work whether it gets great writing or not.

PP has paid Millions for the sets, wardrobe, Props and the Lisence rights of both AMC & OLTL and that aint cheap. They Offered Lucci her Current Contract Salary At ABC & has Offers out to other AMCers. They have signed 4 major OLTL stars and now its Rumored Melissa Archer and Jerry Ver Dorn. That right there says these are pros who have the money and intelligence to do this. Plus with knowing they never have Produced one let alone two daily dramas they hired Frank Valentini to continue as EP of OLTL But also as VP of Serialized Dramas at PP. Frank who has Kept His show the only show on ABC Daytime to continously come under budget is a great hire here since he knows how to produce and direct daytime drama. All This right here is why PP will be successful in this and both AMC & OLTL will live on for many years to come.
