Michael Easton? NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! sad.png

This just goes to show that the internet consensus is rarely correct. How often have we heard that ME would never sign, he's not interested, yadda, yadda. Then here is is one of the first to sign on.

^She took that pay cut with AMC, and they gave her less hours...why couldn't PP do the same? And I don't know why she'd want more money. I think it's all PP trying to amp things up and really light a fire under AMC and the fans. Using SL, who just happened to open her mouth recently, to do so. If she wants to go, she's earned it. I say onto bigger and better things, or time to relax and enjoy the prime of her life. smile.png

I'm going to go against the grain, I hope she sticks to her guns. She's allowed to want to move on. She's give AMC 41 years of her life. She's earned the right to not want to do this anymore, and on a risky venture at that. Besides, I don't want Erica Kane being PP's test dummy. Leave that to Rylee or OLTL.

NO RYLEE!!!!

ahem...

I agree with you on every other point. I basically wanted Erica around for a month or two for the familiarity factor. Of course, another thing she brings to the table is that she's a promotion machine. When it comes to promoting the show, she's worth all of the actors they signed for OLTL ten times over.

Since they clearly want to stick with business as usual with OLTL, I'd hope that they'd be willing to take some risks with AMC and make some real changes. They bought the rights might as well do something with them.

For the record, I'm still sticking with this all being a negotiation tactic of PP. SuLu was giving them resistance so they've essentially sicced soap fans on her by saying "If AMC dies, you know who to blame."

And I won't be a soap fan and play into "blame Lucci" if it doesn;t happen mentality. If they start getting people riled up to now go after her I hope she does say thanks but no thanks. Lucci has never struck me as greedy, never have you ever heard the stories about her that you have heard about some at GH or Days or even Y&R at one time. I am not saying she's been treated badly or not paid well but she's never aired her grievances anywhere, has never pulled the Diva card. Shes taken paycuts for years while rumors about Mathison, Budig refusing them have been rampant and don;t get me started on the Divas and Divos over at GH.

How is she not allowed to move on? If she's negotiating, she clearly wants to be part of the new venture.

Ditto. If they think badmouthing her is going to accomplish anything, then screw em and the horse they rode in on.

If it's true that Susan wanted less hours but with the same salary, I agree with PP for not agreeing to that.

I so agree. My problem isn't if she stays is go but she pretty much spent the last week slamming Frons for some of the same stuff she is now doing. And that leaves a bitter taste for me.

How is she doing that? My goodness you're comparing two completely different things. She is ALLOWED TO MOVE ON if she wants. I really doubt she wants more money, I think that's whomever trying to save face

I can already hear people at DC saying "Susan is out for herself blah blah" Hell they already blasted her numerous times for not saying anything about Frons or Pratt in print while no one knows squat about what she said or did privately. She has take numerous paycuts and spent 41 years at AMC obviously because she loved it and has loyalty. But god forbid she might want more money. If anyone I am sorry has earned that right she has and if PP feels they need her for the show and want to continue the show then pay her what she wants. Personally after the shennanigans Frons and company have pulled all these years and how no one seems to bat an eye when they pay people like Anthony Geary the same salary and give him loads of vacation time to compensate I say to her stick to your guns.
