That's the problems with all the females on the show besides Erica - AMC writes them all as white-rice heroines who essentially need a man and kids to make them whole. From Liza, Greenlee and Kendall to Amanda, Bianca, Marissa, Madison and Cara. I was watching SOAPnet last night and the difference in the 2005 episode to now is huge with the females. These girls want to bake cakes, those girls want to bake their enemies. If AM and RB stay or either-or, and I do think keeping their big stars is of benefit to 2.0, they definitely need to get back to old-school Kendall, Greenlee at least somewhat. No matter who stays or goes, AMC needs to get back to those snarky, bitchy fabulous women. Women are huge to AMC, but women with that snarky, bitchy flame are even more so.

The have a lot of options for women and remember we have new HW's. LB and AN might have some ideas on how to revive other parts of the canvas with a couple of new characters added to ???? who knows. They can recast Jake as far as I am concerned. I vote for Greg Vaughan. Amanda they could just write off and bring on a new Martin female perhaps?

I love Fusion & seeing the women put in work! PP and AMC can make a profit off of that by centering stories & products around it like ABC did with the Enchantment & Charm! fragrances, and also Kendall's Charm! book. I want to see more S/L's like that!

If they get Lucci they don't need Budig and I know you like her but I think Minshew is a weak Kendall and a lot of the changes to writing Kendall was to suit her version of the character. I never bought her Kendall as scheming or calculating. I like the idea of Madison stepping in to fill this role.

Yeah, Fusion is played out but the show needs another business to replace it. We need to keep the workplace/business angle and it looks like Chandler Enterprises is history. If SuLu signs on, I think she should get something generic like "Kane Ventures" where they could pull in Fusion, some Chandler stuff, Project Orpheus, etc.., That way we get to see the women at work without having to deal with the "Sex and the City" bullshit and it would be a great way to pull Colby and Petey back into the fold.

There's no point recasting characters like these. Just bring on somebody new to replace them and leave the originals open for occasional appearances.

Since ME is staying as John On OLTL and KB & CS return soon as Marcie & Michael, Do U think PP will want them and what about Tina and Cord. Both would be cool

Genie Francis Needs to forget ABC & GH and PP needs to get her to Bring Laura to Pine Valley Or Llanview and yes I know she was Cearra on AMC but it could still work. I think AMC & OLTL would use a strong Laura

I would love to see Tina and Cord but to be honest I don't think they fit into the vision they have for OLTL anymore. They seem less focused on family these days and more on camp. And Marcie and Micheal don;t get me started with frons on that one.

JaneA, I disagree on AM, I thought she was a more layered Kendall than SMG (yeah, I said it again!) and played an awesome anti-heroine. I think it's the "supercouple" pairing that watered the character down as much as she's been since late 2007 not the writers going off AM's vibe. It happens with any character, male or female, when they get into a popular pairing that overtakes the character to a detriment. IMO, only Susan Lucci and David Canary in the canvas of AMC has been able to avoid the curse.

Agreed. Adam and Brooke, of course, also cannot be recast IMO.

I think like John said there is a lot of history and famileis this show can capitalize on. ANd I am sure Agnes and LB have their own ideas that is if the show doesnt go the way of campiness.
