GH: July Discussion Thread

someone said she's Carly lite and I compared her to Carly in another thread. Its not too far off Both are incredibly annoying.

I did and that why I don't think she being trashed to prop anyone, since GH clearly think Carly is one of the best character on this show along with Jason and Sonny. Beside GW said that Elizabeth grief is all about manipulation, which make me :rolleyes: b/c Jason and Lucky grief is genuine but a mother's grief is not.

Liz should have given this [!@#$%^&*] the Trevor Lansing treatment.

What happened with him?

I don't watch GH on a daily basis so I can't say what is or isn't an improvement, but I can say that I did appreciate the Monica/Jason scenes. At first I was thinking they were going to be more of the old standby of Monica lashing out at Jason, desperately, while he stares back at her with the usual pseudo-tears. There was a little of that, but there was also some serious questioning of Jason and his choices, with Jason forced to try to give answers, instead of just more close-ups of his soulful stares. I really liked the scene where Monica gave him a photo of when he was a little boy and talked to him about what he'd been. For the first time in a long time I thought there was some balance in the relationship and I thought that Monica saying they had to say more to each other, but not right now, was a nice way to let her have dignity and also avoided the usual pitfall of Monica being shamed while Jason looks stupefied.

None of this had to be done, which makes me appreciate it even more.

I don't have much of an opinion on the rest, although I was glad that Jason's women were speaking about self-respect and not depending on a man. It may be lip service, and it seemed like Sam was reading from an old copy of I'm OK You're OK, but it was a nice change.

I'm enjoying the hell out of the Liz/Siobhán feuding. But, then again, I've never been shy about my love for snarky bitchfests between rivals. I want more, dammit! MORE!

Oh I love bitchfights, too. Don't get me wrong. And I don't think there's a single woman on this show who plays them better than Becky Herbst. So I'm enjoying the fighting, but I still think Siobitch is an out of line, out of control cu*t and I hate her. :lol:

I only wish they'd stop making Liz so weak with her. Liz KNOWS how to be a bitch and I only wish she gave Siobhan a bit more back. She just lets her walk all over her trashing her without saying or doing much. Siobhan has more than warranted a slap. Liz needs to hit her and start throwing some insults her way. We saw her stand up to and fight Brook just a few months ago. What happened to that fire?

I don't really have a problem with Siobhan taking things out on Liz, I feel she gets a free pass too easily and she cheats too often for it to be discarded like it doesn't matter (Zander, Jason, Nikolas) I need someone to call her out on it because everyone just pats her on her head and protects her like everything she does is so cute and she is just this harmless ditz who isn't aware that her actions have consequences and hurt people. When Lucky hurts Liz it's this huge problem, but when Liz hurts Lucky everyone just harps on him to forgive her because she obviously didn't mean it. :wacko: I feel like she is a mini-Carly just nicer because Rebecca has the sensibility to play her character with some semblance of heart.

Hot Damn...Brandon Barash :wub::wub::wub:

OMFG. That's all I have to say. I love Johnny Zacchara. Hope Garin likes him to!

Liason scene!!!! :wub: :wub: :wub:

As usual made Liz look needy & pathetic, nothing new with those scenes. Always love Liz/Jason interactions though..

How is Liz hurting Lucky? Siobhan is calling Liz out on stuff that happened a year and a half ago that she wasnt around for! Liz more than paid for that crap and one cant say it was simply discarded bc for months, every single day someone was calling her a whore, tramp, slut, etc.... She got blasted big time for cheating on Lucky. That wasnt simply ignored. She shouldnt still have to pay for that and definetly not from Siobhan. She had absolutely nothing to do with that
