I'm not hating Grant/Brooke. I like their little banter and flirting. It's a shame that he was just one of many as a temporary obstacle of Brooke/Ridge

I also liked the first part of the Grant-Brooke-period, where he was the male opportunist and she - the victim. I didn't like however the Shooting of Grant storyline one bit. It was very unrealistic and the twists were absurd. Bradley couldn't write a crime story if his life depended on it.

Exactly! He was trying to do an Agatha Christie-type whodunit and completely failed.

Also Grand's exit was... pathetic. He all of a sudden got ill and died, just so Macy and Thorne can get back together.

That's right up Brad Bell's alley though, isn't it? Always revert to the tried and tested. That's why B&B is still telling the same stories it did 30 years ago, and will keep telling until cancellation.

Do we know in what episode in ‘94 that Rebecca Budig played Cathy?

I didn't know she was on B&B years ago! So that's the second Taylor recast that had an U/5 role on the show, many years before she got the role. Krista Allen play a girl named Shelly I think in 1995.

I never viewed the original Grant/Brooke story that way. Grant made Brooke question her decade-long obsession w/ Ridge.

That what I love about fiction. Everyone can have their personal take and POV on it.

I'm towards the end of 1993 and I'm REALLY struggling to stick with the show. A major story is Taylor is in Scotland with James working through his issues with his parents. The show is so slow and I'm not interested in anything that is airing. I hope that it shifts once I hit 1994 which I think is in just a few episodes.

Wasn't 1993 the year that Bill Bell gave the reigns over to Brad? Maybe that is why I'm noticing this shift.

End of 1993 and 1994 is unbearably bad. And yes that's when Bradley took over. Couple of months into his head writing, things start falling apart. Wait till the unwatchable unrealistic and quite frankly absurd Princess Leila storyline starts. Cringe on a whole another level.

You have to ride it through till late 1995-1996.

Same here, I noticed the shift Aug ‘93 once the initial Belief story and Macy alcoholism story had peaked.
