I'm not too happy with the one I have (takes too long to export a 20 min. file and there are only 4 file formats to choose between), so if any of you has any suggestions, I'd really appreciate it. Members BoldRestless Posted May 9, 2020 Members Share Posted May 9, 2020 (edited) I use OpenShot Video Editor for editing but I'm not too happy with it either because it's extremely slow to export. If I'm just cutting or merging videos I've been using the Photos app that comes with Windows 10 (click Video Projects), but it's not very precise for doing other kinds of editing. Members KristinG79 Posted May 9, 2020 Members Share Posted May 9, 2020 (edited) I have a ton of old video tapes that I want to digitalize, but to do that I have to transfer (capture) them to my laptop. Right now I'm using a program from Magix ("Rescue your videotapes"), which comes with a cable (USB/SCART) that connects a VHS-player to a computer, but when I try to import a video it either freezes the picture or cuts off the audio. The editing software is not too bad, but like I said, it's very slow when exporting and there's not many file formats to choose from. --------------------------------------------------- ETA: I just finished uploading an episode from 1999 to the vault, if you'd like to check it out. Members BoldRestless Posted May 9, 2020 Members Share Posted May 9, 2020 Thanks for uploading! I have a DVD recorder connected to my VCR, so I just use that to make a DVD and then convert it. But I know what you mean, I have one of those kits too but it's still in the box unopened. I have binge-watched those episodes, especially from 1992 and I remember the last one was #1300. I skipped many of the episodes from that period when they were broadcast in Poland, so this is a very nice way to see what I'd missed.
