OLTL: Discussion for the week of June 20

Sorry, I used some strong language. I honestly think I'm trying to figure out which parts I side with who on, the writing and storyline is far too convoluted for my liking. They all suck to be honest. I just found it extremely hypocritical for Natalie go be going on about how she and Brody deserve to move on, especially when they caused the sh!t to hit the fan, but she went APESHIT on John for moving on with Kelly. Everyone can move on AS LONG AS it's on Natalie's timeline. Just more terrible writing.

To quote someone on another board:

"Not that any of this has to do with the point I had to make which was about what Natalie said about how she stuck around and dealt with her lies and put the pieces back together, well I just don't see how this compares to Jessica who wasn't the one in the wrong when she split, she wasn't running from her own mess which would have been what Natalie would be doing if she didn't deal with the mess. Again I'm not excusing the convenient Tess switches when things get tough but her and Natalie were in very different positions. It sounded to me like Natalie was comparing herself favorably to Jess because she stuck around."

Oh its definetly hypocritical of Natalie, but she was wrong in that situation with John and Kelly just as Jessica is wrong here. The key difference I guess would be that its been 4 months since the wedding and its only now that Brody has moved on with someone else (Natalie). Only like 2 hours passed between John moving on with Kelly. Big difference. For Jessica, the wedding mentally feels like it was yesterday for her, but it wasnt. I dont think she quite gets that and she expected to literally come back to how things were exactly as she left

I guess I see that differently since John was the one betrayed while Natalie and Brody were the betrayers. Of course they're not gonna move on right away, they would look even more horrendous.

I know the problem is Jessica is never wrong but then it's the writers' fault since she didn't force Natalie to betray her.

This summer, experience the BazStarr'dization of One Life to Live...

The Baz storyline is so stupid. I have no clue why I'm supposed to care about it.

I guess they're still trying to push Starr as being in a big romance. That and they may want to have some racially tinged conflicts for Todd and the harem.

I don't care where Brody's head is at, and how he feels about Jessica and their failed engagement, you don't sleep with your siblings lover/fiance -- no matter what their current status is. Unless Jessica gave Natalie her blessing (and even if she had, it still would have been tacky), Brody *should* have been completely off limits to her. So I'll never come around to Natalie's side here....because the heffa's actions are completely wrong.

And on a side note, I just plain can't stand the bitch.

  • I hate her for coming to town and stealing Jessica's birthright.
  • I hate her for introducing the Balsom family.
  • I hate her for destroying John and Evangeline's relationship
  • I hate her for browbeating Viki into letting Miles Laurence stay at Llanfair after what he did to Todd.
  • I hate her (and Jared) for killing Nash.
  • I hate her for turning Marty into a nutjob.
  • Hell, I hate her for shooting Lincoln.

I hate her.

I'll never be on her side for anything. **throws a grenade at 'Team Natalie' ** And while, yes, I obviously have a bias against the dowdy slut, the truth is that she gives me a never-ending stream of new reasons to keep my aversion to her replenished.

And Kelly treated her the same way she is supposedly treating Jess.

I'm glad Natalie said what she did to Jessica today. I can't side with Jessica on this. Maybe it's because I can't stand her.

When did Brody betray John?

What?

When did Brody betray John?

I was talking about when he betrayed Jessica by sleeping with her sister.

I feel like I'd be more sympathetic to Natalie and Brody if they were in love but it's painfully obvious they're not.

If all the fords are out by september but I still don't get Baz purpose here. Do really think TIIC are going to put Baz and Starr at the end and also rumor about lump Cole returning in August. Damn my head is spinning. Help???

Bazarr will never happen because Todd would never let Starr be with Tomas' son.

Todd's going to have his hands tied with his other kid, Jack (as he should) to be too concerned about what silly nonsense Starr is fussing about
