We posted the same exact thread title :P

LOL Except you uppercased "ANOTHER". :)

Like Crystal Chappell, I love Louise but her return was botched. Why did Vivian return under Dena freakin Higley. I wanted to see what Marlena/Darrell would've done with her.

Well it was another :P

I wonder who this is about?

TV Guide Magazine: Perhaps you're better off not knowing why this happened.

Sorel: I don't know if it matters at this point. What if I did know the reason? Then what? At one point, one of the actresses on Days was told she was interfering with the ratings and hurting the show, so certain things were not being written for her. Who needs to hear that? Listen, actors are by nature gypsies. We pick up and move on. I realize in the long run that I'll look back on this and it'll just be one of those things. I would never go back to Days after this, even though Gary said, "You might be back someday." I just can't do it. I love the character. I love the people I'm working with. But I can't deal with it anymore.

Maybe Crystal Chappell?

The original buried-alive story worked because it was played for reality. As crazy as it was, it was believable and it was scary. I don't know what that second buried-alive story we did last year really accomplished.

Agreed, Louise! Vivian's return sucked. She was in a bad storyline and she hardly interacted with Carly or Kate - two of her rivals. Instead she went up against Maggie? Come on!

I wonder who's the actress who was "interfering" with ratings.

TV Guide Magazine: So no regrets?

Sorel: Gary told me, "You did everything they asked of you and more." This time I wasn't complacent — that's not in my nature — but I did came back to the show thinking, "Oh, Louise, this time just do the work and shut up." Because I used to go up to the office at Days and say, "What's happened to my character's brain? Where's her intelligence?" [Laughs] And they don't want to hear that, not from me or from anyone. So this time, I went in and just did what they wrote for me, doing my best to justify it.

Very insightful.

Quinn being Vivian's son is such a good twist. Something interesting finally happens with Vivian and then Louise gets fired? Such bad timing.

I personally hate the twist myself. Vivian's whole history was her bond with Nicholas, Lawrence & Phillip was because she didn't have a child of her own. And then bam she has one? Stupid writing imo.

I think the twist is good, but just like everything Dena does, the execution is bad - Vivian sees Quinn and says something like, "I'm been wondering when we'd meet again." No build up to anything whatsoever and we could've went into Vivian's past - maybe Vivian was trying to fill the void of her child with Nicholas/Lawrence/Phillip.

I'm glad she's given Michael Logan this interview, it's her Beverlee McKinsey "sayonara daytime" interview. I'm just relieved she doesn't need to do anything for financial reasons. Head back to New York, Louise and follow your passion.

She is an actor's actor. A real talent. The return was totally botched and that isn't her fault.

Fare thee well, Louise Sorel. Vivian Alamain Forever!

I was so happy she added that little anecdote. It's good to know she has the means to do what she pleases at her leisure.

wow, she is out but Tamara "I have no talent" Braun gets to stay?

The charcter is a bust. I'd be shocked if she lasts but then she did win an emmy for Days so who knows.

I am sad to see Sorel go but her return was so badly handled. I don't define this getting rid of a character thats not working

because the writing failed her but Vivian is still a viable villian if written for. Characters like Melanie, Dario, Taylor well

to me those are character failures.
