April 26, 201114 yr Member The work from Marcy Walker and Lane Davies here really gets me - Marcy is so soft and fragile yet supportive, and she does not make any of this about her, as a lot of leading ladies would do. The scene where Mason says (basically) "If there is a Heaven I hope Mary is there" is the one that gets me the most.
April 26, 201114 yr Member Roger Zaslow and Maureen Garrett whenever they dealt with Roger and Holly's history.
April 26, 201114 yr Member Now that I see your banner I am reminded of Maura's work when Carly lost Nora. That upset me a lot at the time, especially knowing Maura was near the end of her own pregnancy.
April 26, 201114 yr Member Say what you want now but, I was glued to the screen with the original Sheila/Lauren storyline. This was the best storyline for me.
April 26, 201114 yr Member I have posted this more than once (or twice probably) and it's melodramatic as hell but I love it to pieces for Sofia Landon's performance.

That upset me a lot at the time, especially knowing Maura was near the end of her own pregnancy. Honestly, I don't remember a lot from Maura's first stint (without the aid of youtube)...but all of Carly and Jack's fights blew me away. John saying goodbye to Johnny was heartbreaking. And I'll admit, the original Sheila/Lauren story and the original B&B crossover were classic. I still believe a lot of B&B's success came from that story. I'm not sure B&B would have been as successful as it was without it.
April 26, 201114 yr Member Obviously, and most definitely, Marcy Walker during Eden's rape storyline. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=guH0WKIoQrc
April 26, 201114 yr Member I also really like Robin Mattson's work in the scene where her niece Hayley dies, and Gina senses it. Edited April 26, 201114 yr by CarlD2
April 26, 201114 yr Member And who says THE STAFFORD© is the only Phyllis? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bo-KDriOQJs What a way to go out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PfLCxgU8iGc&feature=related
April 26, 201114 yr Member Was I supposed to think Sandra Nelson was good in that clip? Terrible. And CLB seemed so cold, like Phyllis had just broken a nail. I still think VR was absolutely terrible in that clip. Completely ruined any drama it could have had and made it a joke. I try and keep my attention on TLW as to keep the scene from being a complete fail. What a way to go out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PfLCxgU8iGc&feature=related And she hasn't been back since. April 26, 201114 yr Member Was I supposed to think Sandra Nelson was good in that clip? Terrible. And CLB seemed so cold, like Phyllis had just broken a nail. Heh oddly enough it was the ONLY thing I could find up of Nelson's work. I think she did crazy much much better than drama. I mean there was a reason at the time I had sympathy towards Phyllis and not towards Danny for obvious reasons. To each their own about VR in that one clip though. April 26, 201114 yr Member To each their own about VR in that one clip though. The woman who plays the mother just owns her in that clip. She has the interesting face your eyes are drawn to, and her silence makes her more fascinating because you are curious what is going on in there. The screaming daughter is almost a distraction.
