Members EricMontreal22
I think that's very much true... In the OLTL tribute mag Paul Rauch gives Michael Schnessel a HUGE amount of praise, making him sound like the most brilliant writer who ever lived. I wonder if that was one reason he was at such a loss after his passing.

Members MissLlanviewPA
Laura really is one of the most classically beautiful women ever on OLTL. I love the wedding dress she wore when Cassie married Andrew.

Members Khan
"The speeding hulk of metal slams into his young body." Who wrote these synopses? Lester Dent?
Members DRW50
I wonder if Jill Voigt was let go because they wanted a more conventionally attractive actress. It seemed like OLTL at this time was willing to cast less typical looks, like Voigt, or Judith Light.
Members Paul Raven
'Cabot Huddleston'? was that a misprint or was that the original name for the character? Interesting that they chose to kill off a child.Surely, there would have been a lot more story had he lived.Maybe they didn't want Pat to be lumbered wirh a child-that thinking that once a mother,a character loses her sexuality and has to conform to certain standards. Was Brian forgotten by Pat,or referenced from time to time? Was it later that they decided Karen was with Talbot in the car that killed Brian or was that already known? Thanks for the article Carl.I would love to see synopses from that issue !!

Members DRW50
Yowch - not a fan of Mia Korf at all. I actually think the early Blair was KDP's weakest work in the role. If nothing else it's a good reminder that Korf's Blair was not universally popular (I like her work a lot - I just think the character herself was easily degraded). I don't mind that OLTL had quite a few unrelated characters at that time. I'm surprised Marlena didn't remember that the last golden era of OLTL was full of "others" - Marco, Edwina, Ina, Ed, and even Karen and Brad often existed as loners, family ties or not. I hate the idea of random relatives, and OLTL had way too many of those in its last years. I do think that era in the long run did a lot of damage to Viki.
