What year is this? I believe this to be my 'loneliest' Minority Rapport. I enjoyed Tad/Ted for a few reasons. AMC was new to me. MEK twice. LOVED Barbara Rush as Nola Orsini.

Without looking it up, I believe it's 1993. I also loved Barbara Rush.

Thanks! I was surprised to learn she is Carolyn Hennessy's aunt.

I was posting in another thread about Dixie's "You Are My Sunshine" song that she sang to JR and then again years later to Little Adam.  During that, I came across Dixie's funeral (haha) and the wonderful Tad/Dixie montage they played during it that will make you just weep.  I was so obsessed with Tad and Dixie's love affair in the 90s and the last scene in this montage is just so full of emotion.  😭  MEK and Cady just had the BEST chemistry out of any soap couple IMO.

That song always makes me emotional.

You remembered! :)  Doesn't that bring back so many memories?  The nostalgia I get is wild.  That scene was an awakening for my 9 year old self.

Dixie and Craig were basically having sex with their clothes on.

Unpopular opinion:  I liked Dixie/Craig together as a couple... even liked that one male character that the show was chem testing her with during the Prospect Park AMC revival.

Tad/Dixie breaking up and making up diluted their appeal eventually.

The same was true for Phil and Tara, Chuck and Donna and Cliff and Nina.

Oh, once I was resolved that Tad was dead and gone, I really got into Dixie/Craig, hence the Michael Bolton dance scene above.  I loved that story, with Gloria and Craig, and Brooke finding it all out... I was all in.  But then Ted/Tad came back when Dixie was then with Brian Bodine... I was all back for Tad/Dixie.  THEN Liza came back and oh my god, did I root for Tad/Dixie but secretly love Liza...

Who was the guy they were testing her with on the PP AMC?  I can't remember!

it will probably be a puff piece with limited juice.

eg

'We were a big happy family at AMC. Yes like all families from time to time there were harsh words spoken or misunderstandings but it never took away from the love.'

My daughter and I are currently at a place where there are some barriers between us for reasons I'd prefer not to go into. But the door is always open to reconciliation.

I could see that.

@alwaysAMC Dr. Anders with the bedside manners. I saw sparks between them in like the last two weeks of the show.

Oh wow, I barely remember him!  He looks like a handsome Clark Kent there haha.  Thanks for sharing :)

Speaking of, are full episodes of the TOLN AMC out there anywhere? It was only on for what, a year, if that? I remember watching it when it aired in real-time just once, but I was in a very much different chapter of life at the time.
