I think they were French Canadian as I thought Natalie was meant to be from there too or that she and Jeremy had at least been star-crossed since they were teens. Wasn't there an entire remote in Canada or am I just mixing this up?

That's a mix up.  When Ted Orsini went off the rails he hunted down Tad and Dixie in the "wilds of Canada" (I think I have the gist of that right.  As a young teen I just found it amusing that they had to go to Canada to find wilderness.)

LOL this is the storyline that was happening when I got grounded for a week and I couldn't watch.  It pissed me off SO much that I couldn't watch.  I would sneak downstairs and try to watch through a mirror in the stairwell but could barely hear it.  I just remember pixie-cut Dixie, in a hat, was trying to rescue Tad in the rushing river water.  What memories!

YES the wild waters is what I most remember too.  (I still can't believe they grounded you but still continued to watch AMC and wouldn't let you.  Too cruel.)

Thanks. I guess the only remotes for Jeremy was the action/adventure stuff with Erica.

Ah, yes.  The Tad/Ted storyline.  AKA the story where I officially washed my hands of Megan McTavish.

Well, folks have always said I was an old soul.  ;)

I can't remember exactly when MEK returned as Ted/Tad, but I do remember that Megan McTavish was on thin ice with me already.  The quality of the day-to-day writing decreased for me almost as soon as her name began appearing first in the credits.  Tad/Ted, however, was the first time that I questioned her ability to tell a story cohesively and on her own.  It was just too damn misleading, creating a whole bunch of suspense - "Why do Tad and Ted look alike?  Are they related?  And why do share the same memories?" - that led to nothing.

I received an e-mail from a friend who came across some scripts from AMC 1979. He's trying to identify the actors that played these roles so he can add them to imdb.

Can anyone help? It's so sad that Danfling is no longer with us, he probably would have known.   ☹️

Judge Oliver Thorndike - Judge presiding over Kelly’s murder trial.

Dick Hamilton - D.A. prosecuting Kelly Cole. (Previously played by Franklin Cover in 1973.)

Dr. Wilson - Anne Tyler Martin’s shrink at Oak Haven sanitarium

Nurse Rose Mahoney -Anne’s private nurse at Christmas 1979.

Thanks to anyone that can help!

By the way, why did we rename this a Tribute thread instead of a Discussion thread? I know it’s mostly semantics, but is there a meaningful difference?

In another part of the show when they announced the nominees for Best Actor, the first name was James Mitchell & the camera landed right smack dab on Darnell (who had previously been correctly spotted in the Supporting category) but here Darnell reacted using only his eyes, looking first alarmed but then he sent his eyes hard to his left, which the camera person GOT & moved the camera to his left, where James Mitchell was sitting! LOL, cute.

@Maxim - have you still been watching AMC?  I miss your recaps/thoughts!  :)

I've been very very preoccupied with personal things (had a long vacation out of town with my husband... and now adjusting to getting back to work), so I've been struggling to find time to watch my soaps... I can barely even manage BTG at this point. :(

I don't know how, but I managed to go through almost 2 entire seasons of AMC in a very short period of time... and it was inevitable I will need a little break somewhere along the way.

As I recall, I'm still at the last posted review here - the episode where Adam staged the baby's disappearance in order to scare Dixie. When I go back... I'm most interested in what is going to happen to Erica when she finds out her father is alive. Will she hyper-focus on him and ignore the other men in her life... Will they have a healthy relationship, or the toxicity will prevail. And of course Dixie's turmoil. I want to see how far Adam will go in his manipulations and sadism.

I'm flattered that someone cares for my reviews and it that just makes me smile. Thank you! I've never stopped thinking of AMC. I even dream about the show and see the characters in my dreams.💙

Love to hear it!  Definitely understand the personal life taking over sometimes!  Just happy to hear it's still in your future! :)

What year is this? I believe this to be my 'loneliest' Minority Rapport. I enjoyed Tad/Ted for a few reasons. AMC was new to me. MEK twice. LOVED Barbara Rush as Nola Orsini.
