Boy oh boy those 80's ABC promos. LOL! So cool watching them but I can't imagine ever being roped in by a single one. They seem so overbearing and even cheesy sometimes. I guess that's how things were "in" back then

True. OTOH, I appreciate that they didn't attempt to make these shows look like anything other than what they were: soaps. Not prime time shows, not films, but soaps.

I miss those days.

Thats the FIRST episode that I watched. I loved it so much that I kept on watching!!

KOCO is the ABC affiliate in my neck of the woods.

I wasn't an AMC watcher, but I found this newspaper article from March 18, 1984 that I thought some might find interesting. I have a feeling that what Lisa was told about her chances for her own storyline was, sadly, an attitude also shared by the other shows at the time.

I can't blame her, but it's sad to read. And sadly it's even more true of daytime today.

It's a shame AMC killed off Frank and allowed Nancy (and Lisa Wilkinson) to slip through their fingers like that. But...sigh...I'm not surprised.

I loved the Nancy character from the clips I've seen online. It's a shame she wasn't used more in later years.

Never fails to take my breath away!

I remember how thrilled I was that my favorite girl singer was appearing on AMC. Does anyone have clips of the episodes with Lesley Gore as June? I remember the story, and I remember Lesley singing the song her character was pimping for Mark Dalton. I wonder if there is a recording floating around of Lesley doing that song.

I was devastated when Frank Grant suddenly died. I loved John Danelle's work as Frank. I guess after that it was only a matter of time until Nancy disappeared. It really sucked. I would have loved to have seen Frank be Jesse's father figure through all of those years that Jesse was maturing. It would have made for genuine AMC story. Instead we were stuck with Angie's awful father, Les. I cried no tears when HE left the story!
