after sleeping on it, my heart has hardened. I think the show made a big mistake not answering the only question that matters. Their cliffhangers are really over very tiny cliffs. Will the congressman die? It's irrelevant and doesn't matter. Will she get off the plane? Again, this is inconsequential. There is only one thing that matters, who the killer is, and the show did not need to drag this out a year. I think what they will find is rather than people sitting on pins and needles, people will just no longer care because they see there is no end in sight and the show tries to cover up their nonsense with smoke and mirrors asking questions nobody was asking.

Many murders are never solved, but that's not what we were promised. The show's tagline was "who killed Rosie Larson?", it doesn't seem unrealistic to want that answer at the end of a 13 show season. I'm not as pissed about this as many people, but it does annoy me. It wouldn't annoy me as much if they hadn't set up one red herring after the next. They played that beat one too many times for me.

Very true. They could've sacrificed one of the Bennett episodes for an episode that at least told us part of WHY Rosie was killed. That would've been nice at least. When you think about it, though, there weren't THAT many red herrings. It was just the kids, Bennett, and Darren (maybe), right? I don't really count the mayor, Drexler, Belko or the casino people since there wasn't an entire arc devoted to them and it's obvious anyone and everyone is a suspect. At least we can eliminate the kids and Bennett (I'm gonna assume Darren as well) from the suspect list, it helps a little, so the mini red herring arcs did do SOMETHING, haha.

Sometimes I forget it's only been 13 days since the murder took place. Sometimes it feels as if it's been longer than that, with all the red herrings lol

I don't mind it really, I have enough interest to tune in for the next season. I think my love for this show will be similar to my affection for Lost while it was still on lol, getting very few answers, having my chain yanked every now and then, but sticking it out because I want some answers.

This show almost lost me because I didn't like the first season finale and I thought there were a couple of episodes were just "fillers" with no purpose other than to throw out more potential suspects who seemed dead end. I don't know how to express it any better but the plot device worked when they used it to take the viewer on a detour with the teacher as a suspect since it revealed Stan's flaws and Mitch's as well. Plus they've tied that up with Stan's attempt to apologize. The Michael Ames centric episode was without purpose for me but maybe they will tie that up as well. And, also hinting at Yannick came across as a pointless distraction.

I realized that I don't even like any of the characters, although as wretched as Stan is, he might have some redeeming qualities. Anyway the writers regained my interest with the last couple of episodes. I especially liked that they used Yannick's death to "save" Stan.

If this show does get another season, I hope that they devote some time to developing the victim. I know this hinges for the most part on how Rosie Larson's death affected all these individuals but seeing more of her might have helped make her parents more tolerable when they were hard to take.

Anyone watching Season 3? I decided to give it a try and the first two episodes held my interest. I enjoyed season 1 and wasn't as irked as some about how it ended up I just couldn't get into Season 2.

I never had a problem with them running the mystery into season two either. This show never weakened to me and the finale of the mystery was amazing.

The first hour was a little odd, but once Sarah clearly started to get pulled back in, I was hooked again. I do absolutely hate the loud mouth girl and hope she ends up dead soon.

I loved the premiere! I hope the constant presence of the kids doesn't annoy me too much. Linden and Holder were brilliant as always and Sarsgaard, Dillon, Koteas, and Seimetz were great.

I love that we got to meet Kallie and get a glimpse into her life before she (presumably) bit it and I think one of the others will probably end up dead too by the end of the season, which is a totally different experience from that of the Rosie Larsen case.

    • Thank you very much for the information!!! All the episodes that person sells are the ones which appear or have appeared in youtube, and some have wrong dates.  Due to that, I guess some people, who have rare and inedite episodes, refuse to upload them in internet, because then, others make money. I hope ABC create a place in the net where we can see all the available episodes they must have, as Retro tv did with the Doctors!!!! Retro tv did an awesome job!!!! Have a look :

    • Dina was Jack, Ashley and Tracy's mom on Y&R.  Joanna was Lauren Fenmore's mother, played by Susan Seaworth-Hayes.
    • The funeral was not onscreen - only the Brooks returning home after the service. Not aware of any available clips.
    • Very very well said!!!

I would only add that Sam Ratcliff is frequently named in regards to certain AW comedic turns.  And, we know from Carolyn Culliton (tweet 2024) that Sam & Gary put their heads together & came up with that gorilla.
    • I knew you would be so excited seeing your girl Brookey as #1!!!! She also WINS as to Frequently Married!!!
    • Yes, Stacy does this both for early DAYS & early GH. I have written some for her, for DAYS. But just one tiny point & that is that she only deals with DVDs. I realize that is not the point of your posting but it seemed the right thing to clarify. I know that you know that video tapes is past, not present.
    • Hahahha I think sleeping with almost all of your daughters's boyfriends and husbands and getting pregnant... definitely gives Brooke the right to top 1 place. Long live the whore of Beverly hills.

    • CurlyQGrl has DVDs of some episodes, that they can sell, but that doesn't matter. What is helpful: they describe the scenes on the tapes, so you can read that as recaps without ordering anything. Doesn't really give storylines, though, which is what you asked for.  Here's the links anyhow. full menu https://www.angelfire.com/tv/curlyqgrl/menu.html GH page https://www.angelfire.com/tv/curlyqgrl/gh/menu.html GH 1960s https://www.angelfire.com/tv/curlyqgrl/gh/eps/gheps1960s.htm
    • I would argue that Another World never played "everything" for laughs. Even when there were comedic scenes in some storylines there were other storylines that were not intended as comedy.  You give 1988 as the end point, and Mary was on the canvas from August 1986 to February 1989, so she must have overlapped with the despised laughs you are referring to at least half of the time she was there. I honestly can't recall any real comedy that Mary would have been part of. I don't think she was lighthearted about choosing between two husbands, MJ's prostitution, Kathleen's death, or even her son Scott dating her daughter Cheryl.  I would have said that the amount of comedy depended on the head writer and there was more comedy under Richard Culliton and Gary Tomlin in 1984 than subsequent headwriters. I guess there was an outbreak of more comedy when Cecile kidnapped Cass from his wedding in 1986, but in general the Sin Stalker wasn't presented as funny, Mitch's return wasn't funny, John's arrival wasn't funny, Reginald wasn't funny. The tone was serious even if the plots verged on the ludicrous. And maybe that's what you mean -- but I would make a distinction between intentional comedy and storylines I can't take seriously for other reasons.
