IDA, Baywatch was good up through season 8. I LOVED season 8 when Carmen Elektra was added as Lani. After that though, it went downhill and I didnt even bother with Hawaii

As far as Nights goes, I didnt think it was so bad as a kid but seeing it now as an adult, man was that dreadful

Yeah, there were characters/episodes I liked about the later seasons, so I don't think the show really tanked until Hawaii. It's been a long time since I saw the post-Steph/pre-Hawaii episodes...back when Spike TV would air it all day long. I liked Traci Bingham's character a lot, but for the life of me I can't remember her name.

I remember when Nights originally aired, but I don't think we watched it because...well it aired at night. We just stuck to the O.G.

Did you all watch that reality show about the washed up teen idols? The kid from Baywatch was on there, he'd done a lot of work to his face, I don't remember his name.

Nick at Nite showed The Betty White Show, oh God, over 15 (?) years ago? Yeah, not so good. And Georgia Engel was in it too, her best bud sidekick. Betty was supposed to be an Angie Dickinson Police Woman type actress, and Betty aiming that gun in the opening titles, it's just so wrong, lol.

Yeah, i would say it was almost 20 years ago, because i remember it and i was pretty young. It wasnt good, but it was Betty!

I think Sue Ann was best off as a supporting character and had kind of run her course, although I did love her (my all time favorite Betty White character is Ellen on Mama's Family).

i LOVED Ellen.

And there's Baywatch Nights, but no Baywatch Hawaii? All of those shows, including the original one, were horrid. How they became so popular world-wide is... a mystery. Even with naked people running around a Californian beach.

Baywatch is AMAZING!

I truly love that show. Mindless fun.

I'm standing at the edge of tomorrow...today!!!today!!!today!!!

Ha, no lie that i my alarm for college on my phone... lol.

At that age I had access to "the good stuff" so I agree in that the sexual draw of the show was a waste of time for *me*, but I can see how the sex factor drew the fans it did. But a girl just standing there speaking sweetly and earnestly about a drowning victim while sporting erect nipples, that's what I'm talking about. The kind of elephant in the room sexiness that doesn't need mood lighting and Red Shoe Diaries sax cues. :P

Hahah well I didn't have access to "the good stuff" (except the ocasional late night movie) and I still found it completely asexual, erect nipples and all :P Although definitely the attractive people were 95% of the show's appeal.

However Jeremy Jackson WAS a bit of a hearthrob with my twin sister's friends--it's sad to see what he's done to himself.

Saved By the Bell the College Years was, if anything a bit better than the riginal show probably--but that doesn't mean much for a primetime show. Still, it aired while The New Class was airing on Saturdays--now THAT was awful (didn't Diamond go back to that show when College ended)/

I think it depends on how you want to look at it.

Yes, it was a better written, acted, produced show.

No, it was not more entertaining than the original.

So, was it a better show? What makes a show good? The production & details or the overall entertainment factor?

I actually totally agree. It was so white washed that it wasn't even sexy in an elphant in the room way--no wonder it was such a hit in every single country in the world no matter what their moral standards were (or whatever). Trust me, at that age I prob would have happily watched a bunch of pretty people (OK, well men) in swimsuits on tv--but I just couldn't see any appeal in the show. I am a bit sorry I never saw BayWatch Nights especially when it went all supernatural just cuz it sounds like SUCh a trainwreck.

There you go. Absolutely zero sexual tension between these people. I think their sculpted bodies were actually a minus, it all felt very unnatural and forced. That all was unhelped by preachy, always-do-good, everyone-here-has-magnificent-angel-like-ethics-and-morals stories. And then were those bad pool, underwater scenes. Just atrocious all-around.

Haha... Yeah, it was fun watching those ocrean scenes where one minute above water they're in a dark dirty ocean, and then suddenly down below it's blue and clear.
