OLTL: Discussion for the week of February 7

Toups, that's what I was saying earlier! The fact that Linda was credited is partly what threw me timeline-wise because I was almost positive Susan was installed by that point.

She most definitely was. She was promoted to EP in 1994.

Question? Have you guys thought of doing daily threads? There's enough posts to do that it seems like.

I don't get on here everyday but lately I don't have time to go through 10, 15, or even 20 pages to keep on topic! For a while it seemed no one had been really commenting much... but now I think 20+ pages would warrant daily threads.

Hmm, I guess that's an idea to consider. I will say though, the OLTL convo in general tends to bleed. We are much more likely to go off topic re: the day in particular and speak on OLTL in a larger sense, so who knows. I've just always felt that daily threads crowd the board, but if it's an issue of keeping a coherent dialogue, then I could be for that.

Doesn't some huge fight break out every time people talk about changing thread policies?

I think it might be higher this week because of the whole wedding thing. When the story goes back to such wonders as Nate breaking a hip, there may be less posts.

Carl, you are terrible. But yeah, I think AMCers have had a dramatic history with the daily threads, it wasn't exactly welcomed. But if you guys want to do a trial run for a week, I guess we could try.

The traffic in the OLTL weekly threads are really sporadic. During big reveals, story climaxes, etc. the thread can balloon up to perhaps 17 pages. Other weeks it can barely make it up to 13 pages.

Yeah, if we're going to try to go daily, this February is the time to do it. ^_^

Yeah......we're not going to change the OLTL threads. :)

If they screwed up the credits, I hope they didn't screw up the residuals! LOL
I haden't even noticed that about the episode...that is interesting.

I can't remember what day of the week it fell on that year, but Erika's 25th anniversary date was March 17, 1996.
March 17 was on a Sunday in 1996.

Malone and Griffith were still co-HW (or however you credit them--I read different official terms) though Griffith was almost out or had just left (he is given due story credit in that Patrick's DIary/Notebook tie in book for the story with Marty and Patrick though)--but yes Gottlieb had left alredy. What a screw up on OLTL/ABC's part! As for Jean's credit, they only credited two writers and Jean was I believe breakdown writer--so they prob gavce her credit and the script writer credit. What was the exact date for the original airing of the episode?
