I haven't seen this reported here yet, so here it goes.

Nate Hastings is returning to Genoa City as of February 7, played by Walter Fauntleroy.

His first airdates are Feb 7, 8, 9, 10, 11.

Several sites are reporting this, but I haven't found anything official except Soaps.com, so take this as you will.

My logical side says he'll only be on the backburner but the other half is excited for this. His character should have been here by now.

Wishful thinking, but maybe they're introducing him on Y&R before Brad brings him over to B&B to triangle it up with Dayzee and Marcus.

Let's get real though. Does anyone *really* care about Devon? I mean, in a romantic storyline? A good-looking actor, yes, but boring as hell. Meanwhile, I'd love to see B&B's Marcus over in Genoa City... yum!

He's only "boring" because he gets no airtime, is only allowed to prop Lily & fck family members.

Everyone acts like bringing on NEW MINORITIES will make Maria/Hamner/Hogan/Rauch care about anyone who isn't a White Heterosexual Male.

I agree. It's a self-defeating cycle, and this is exactly the way Rauch wants it. He's very good at this - he did it at GL for years and years.

Exactly. They don't write for Devon so people say the character is boring. It is TPTB's disinterest in the character. I have watched Bryton on The Vampire Diaries. He has been excellent. He is far more talent than C. Khalil. Y&R is simply wasting the time they have with him. That is soaps for you.

Considering the last few years, they will probably have Nate find out he's not actually Olivia's son, so he can hook up with Lily (or Olivia).

I'm shocked they're bringing Nate on and he actually appears a full week lol. I'm surprised they don't do the twice a month for a year so viewers get used to seeing a black person. I wonder what they have planned for him on the backburner.
