I'm not, I think it makes her look weak. Colby felt terrible about kissing another guy then she finds out her boyfriend had a sex with "some chick" and she's begging him to return her phonecalls?

No way, Colby is a Chandler and it's time she started acting like one.

Oh Annie, Marissa is not worth this. I hate what this obsession with JR is doing to her. I cant believe they are having her go crazy again :(

If Annie picks up the phone none of this happens.

But then again if in the first 5 mins. of the show JR had been honest about planning a surprise for her she wouldn't be this paranoid.

I like it b/c it goes w/ her character. She's been through alot and finally thinks she's accepted for who she is, and assumes the worse from a guy she wants to believe but really doesn't.

Marissa comes off well in the support role, just seeing that all her scenes were about her effect on Annie tells me not much there w/ Marissa.

LOL at the ending.

JR is so planning something sneaky, the way he wanted to rush custody papers, he's a Chandler.

Jamanda sex :excl:

Cara w/ Tad dry.gif

But I loved Cara in this epi.

I can't believe we are dropping Damon. Colby is wreck, right now she doesn't know who she is, I give it 2 more mths. before she turns into a real bitch. Natalie Hall has owned this role. And she looked so pretty tonight.

No. She's just a baby shark. I'd expect her to get payback to be a b!tch. We'll see after she finds out Tad and Liza and Damon held secrets from her. She deserved half of it but the lies is gonna make her do something bad. This isn't Binx or Amanda, this is daughter of Adam and Liza. Two of the most manipulative vengeful people in PV.

It's just no for me. How old is Tad? how long will they continue this Tad the Cad thing? Especially now. He needs to be the Joe Martin of the show but right now I don't see that in him.

He's too hypocritical, immature, and has awful manners.

No, I kind of dig them too even if I'm still on the fence about coked-out Cara. I think I just appreciate the prospect of someone and something new for Tad. Let's move beyond the era of "Dixie Krystal", and with the

A little of Annie's neurotic schtick goes a VERY long way.

I don't mind Jake as much as others but that line was ATROCIOUS. Even RPG seemed to really hate saying it, and he says a lot of crap. Oh and I never wanna hear ANYONE, especially him, go on about "baby making". Maybe I'm crazy but I just grimace whenever I hear that phrase, or make a baby. Maybe it's less crude than sleep with me or have sex, but I find it even worse lol.

Loved a lot of the rest of the episode--I really like Tad and Cara's interaction, Damon did a good job as usual, asher and Colby were meh but... Not sure where they're going with writing for Asher and the actor seems afraid to commit in eithe rdirection.

And the Annie stuff was great I thought--the crazy views of what was happening, and I admit it was a good twist that she didn't actually knock out Marissa on purpose, though everyone will think so.

    • There are so many beats that could be played with relationships and history b/w  characters. But cast/set restrictions (and loust writing) are destroying that. Really liked seeing Jack and Nikki catch up. Trouble is, in the current version of Y&R it had to continue the entire episode. Hearing Lily talk on the phone to Maddie-how much better if we had actually seen the kids during Cane's return. Would the original actors return for a short stint? Maybe not and perhaps they don't feel a recast would work. All of this could have been avoided by letting BF be a new character. For the amount of difference it's made , there was really no need to bring back Cane.
    • Zeman said Marland created Barbara Jean Spencer, they called her Barbara until she and Monty decided Bobbie would be better as a nickname. It was almost Barbie IIRC, and they didn’t think that was right. She also has said on more than one occasion that she came in during the transition and Monty didn’t hire her, but ended up liking her. So Scotty and his friend must have been talking about her. This episode was fascinating. I am so happy it was shared. I can absolutely see why the show was in trouble. It’s lifeless and old fashioned as far as dialogue and some of the staging. Monty herself said she threw those episodes out, so that makes me think they were even worse. Which really made sense to me watching this because I only saw a glimpse of Monty in the less static scene with Rick moving all around while talking to David and the same type of staging with Scotty, Laura, and his friend’s name I cannot remember right now. That long ass scene through Monica’s eyes was very old fashioned as far as style. I can also see why the ratings started rising relatively quickly. Most of the earliest Monty shows I have seen are a few months later, and the show is very different. It moves, the characters are more intense, the staging has movement, and it feels more modern for the time. By the time you get to 1979 it’s really rocking and I totally get it in a way I didn’t before just from seeing this. Genie was so young to play that story with creepy Hamilton. And Kin sure was cute as nice guy Scotty.
    • Kate previously shadow directed or directed some scenes? on Days before GH, so it's been a passion of hers for a bit.
    • Who is monitoring her spending? Maybe the upshot is that Leslie is spending way beyond her means and she'll end up broke again. The house will be repossessed etc, Part of her comeuppance.
    • Kimberly McCullough shadowed at GH and completed an ABC directing program, but I don’t believe she was ever credited as director or given an episode of her own to do. One of the reasons why she got work so quickly was because she had multi-cam knowledge from years on soaps.
    • Do not apologize for this. I was thinking just today it's bringing me fond memories of when I was a teen of Angie and Jessie. Jenny and Greg, Philip and Beth. And although they were teens, Steve and Betsy.  I like a good teen story.
    • Yeah Suzanne mentions Y&R here  (no spoilers in the article) https://www.tvinsider.com/1227485/days-of-our-lives-suzanne-rogers-anniversary-maggie-storylines-mickey-victor/
    • I wonder if she may be transitioning to behind the scenes.  How many GH actors have also directed while acting on the show?
    • Despite my wish that Ric get revenge on Alexis and the gang, I really enjoyed their scenes today. RH and NLG have honestly never lost their chemistry with one another. Seems like Carly genuinely let herself give into Brennan today and regret it. Also just cause I smoked earlier it, it randomly hit me for the first time in over a decade. They had Michael murder Claudia played by the actress that played all of the most important early Michael stories. Kinda twisted lol
