I cannot believe that when Maria started writing JILL finally became JILL again. But ever since that contract dispute/Sheffer's arrival Jill's is nothing but a sick joke and the writing worse (which says A LOT!) than under Jack Smith or LML when they tied her to Kay's hip. Bastards! All of them.

But yay for the WhoreHair. :)

I will always love Maura but its ridiculous they had her Diane pretty much stripping in front of old man Braeden. Pretty gross especially when you just know Braeden wanted this to keep fulfilling Victor's mojo.

I noticed Stafford and Phyllis today as well. Even weirder how in today's episode Phyllis now is a champion of Sharon's innocence. Stafford has been horrendous since Phick began and the Phelia crap but since West joined the show I'm sure its a nightmare now for her.

John and Jill were IT as far as I'm concerned. I always thought that, at some point, they'd find their way back to one another...and then implode once again. I found them such a compelling, layered, interesting couple.

The only way the Jill/Colin storyline could be salvaged in a way that benefits Jill is if Colin, even with his dastardly intentions, fell in love with Jill for real OR if Jill discovered Colin's wicked ways and then set out and successfully destroyed him. But the way it's going to develop is that Jill will be the idiot and Colin will hoodwink Jill.

Jill is a truly terrific character. She is a dynamic woman. One of the last strong women in daytime. What Sheffer has done to her is SICK.

But yes, yay for the whore hair! It hacks 15 years off her looks. Jess is beautiful, the long hair really enhances that.

Colin and Jill forever. Either separately or together. That is all.

And WhoreHairJill looks younger than when she had that Meg Ryan hair thing going on.

Jesus. If I have to sit through one more nausea-inducing flashback of that Daisy creature screaming her placenta out like a crazed hyena, I am going to consider getting my tubes tied.

What was with that weird scene with her visiting Sharon in jail?

Makes me wonder if Stafford told TPTB that she will not be renewing her contract when it is next up and they will be writing Phyllis down the road to Crazyville.

It's, like, when is this b!tch going to get the cuffs slapped on her? Then I'd like GC to throw a "Yay! Phyllis is in Jail!" parade through the corridors of the old pokey.

Did you see her "write" her "blog" about Sharon and then have an orgasm as she released it into the blogosphere? Even Billy Miller looked scared.

    • Oh yeah, definitely! I actually like this storyline because it's very realistic and we are definitely starting to see the cracks in Ashley and Derek's relationship. I also like that they are finally starting to develop Ashley as a character and putting her in scenes with her mom Jan also helps a lot. I'm not so sure about Ashley and Andre as a couple though and I'm also still sort of on the fence about Andre/Dani too. Maybe if the writers continue to flesh out Ashley as a character and give her a real purpose outside of Derek and Jan I might eventually warm up to them as a couple if the writers actually intend for them to be a real thing long term. I'm not entirely convinced that Andre/Dani are in it for the long haul and I feel like they should have kept Andre as a womanizing lothario because at least he would have something of a personality.
    • One of the main traits of a Type A personality is ambition/competitiveness. That's not Ashley.
    • LOL - such a good point. They think it'll go over well and be glamorous and amazing, but sometimes it just ends up being cringe. This wedding so far is a little cringe. They have ducks walking around the hotel foyer and towards the camera, for heck's sake haha.
    • I was focused on 1995 Phillip. With only one child at that point, all he'd really have to rule is his harem of ex's. I'd have loved to watch Grant Aleksander and Rick Hearst go toe to toe, but he's on his way out and I doubt the writers would've ever let A-M best Phillip.  Yes, to someone like Kyle, but no to someone to horndog Reva or be an ineffectual six month villain. They really needed to invest in a Roger-type villain who was built to last. I don't know what it is about location shoots, but shows had a way of overplaying them. Just because you can swim the length of a real pool, or run in a literal field of flowers, etc...doesn't mean I have to see it in it's entirety. I just watched Mindy's wedding to Kurt, and Mindy must've walked a bleepin' mile between the carriage and the altar.
    • And it’s give me a Zzzzzzzz viewing experience!

    • They just aired a montage of Marcus and Dahlia swimming, with music playing in the background singing "Skin to Skin", for 4 MINUTES.  No joke or exaggeration. 4 minutes of them swimming at nighttime, no dialogue, just swimming.  WTF.
    • It's giving Ashley as "type A" personality, while Derek is giving "type B" personality, and they're clashing.

    • I remember my late mom express passionate love of the show (being that we're Irish Americans and how Johnny and Maeve Ryan reminded her of her grandfather)... and that she viewed Jillian and Mary as role models. When the show ran on SoapNet years ago, I remember watching the early episodes and having debates with my mom over how strident and militant the show was... especially in regards to feminist issues.  And how I found Mary to be a hypocrite (she's a reporter... yet can't suss out that her father and brother are both toxic and controlling)... and Jillian to not be quite a good role model (yes, she's a lawyer.. but she's happily waiting for Frank to divorce Delia and then after the divorce.. waits for him to win elections as she silently waits on the sidelines). My mom did admit that in retrospect, she did find the show to be a bit strident and explained that it was the 70s and feminism was a huge passion for her and others like her.   And that was when I learned to view soaps without a modern day lens... and eventually I did find enjoyment on the show (and their St Patrick's day celebrations were always a fun tradition).
