And why would they have two of those hideous dresses at CBS anyway? Is making us look at this mad cow infestation some sort of sick punishment? Anyway, Sharon/Adam... What a repulsive couple. I'm not a fan of Michael Muhney, but I all out hate Sharon Case anymore. I think she phones it in every day. I never get anything real from her. But as sick and disgusting as a Sharon/Adam pairing is (no mother would every be with the man who f*cked with her child's life), I have a feeling they are trying to evoke sympathy for Nick. Are we supposed to feel bad that Nick is being cheated on? Cause the only emotion it's bringing me is that karma is one hella big bitch. We're supposed to be broken hearted for this man? The man who hopped into bed with another woman when his and Sharon's daughter died? The man who got her pregnant? The man who left his wife for her? The man who married Phyllis...Then cheated on her with the first wife? Then got the FIRST wife pregnant? Then left Phyllis. Then THAT baby "died" and he was write back to whore number 1?? Please, Y&R, just go back to the drawing board, I beg you. Find someone completely new for Nick. Skye, Chloe, Cricket anyone... Sharon Case could work well with any number of people. She's at a versatile age. She could be with anyone from the Daniel/Kevin age set to the Jack/Victor group without it looking all that weird. Just not Adam or Nick. I used to hear people say that being with Adam would make Sharon stronger or more independent, but I don't hear that anymore. Now it's just "what a hot couple." Sharon Case is attractive, and Muhney is also attractive (moreso on the show than in the ads - is it me or do they make him look awful in the ads), but these characters are so vacant. They had him steal the baby because that was their shock value story for the time. Then they just assumed they could ignore it because some fans liked Muhney and thought Shadam was "hot." I don't understand why Sheffer never considered writing for porn. That seems to be where his instincts have always gone, on every soap. There are always going to people who root for the couple they think is hottest no matter what (Tarty), but this isn't the 70's anymore. I just don't believe you could get the majority of the audience behind Luke/Laura these days, thank god. Who really wants to watch some weak woman fall for the man who let her think her baby was dead? I don't care how hot they are. I'm disgusted by this pairing. And I just feel like she's phoning it in throughout this whole storyline. I would like to believe it's because she thinks it's as stupid as the rest of us, but then I read these things that she's happy with it and rooting for it. At this point I say just put Sharon Adam and Nick in a car together. They're going up to the cabin to have a "family meeting" Unfortunately however, they skid off the road and the car goes flying into cane and Lily's living room, crushing and killing VanillaLily instantly. And of course Sharon Adam and Nick all die too. Just then, Drucilla climbs her ass back up that cliff to mourn for her babychile, and makes Neil some of her special salad sauce. I'm convinced that Y&R will never be stable as long as this character is on the show and they try to make Adam their big pet project/star. This character has been a complete and utter joke/clusterfuck since he left. They obviously are in love with their idea of what they think this character should be, and it all comes off as unfocused and scattered on-screen. I was mostly thinking of Eden, which wasn't all bad (and actually had some good casting, with Jeff Griggs and hilarious Diana Barton), but had that weird thing on USA where it was hacked to pieces whenever the rutting would start. That's what I feel like with Y&R now. I mean what other purpose does Stephen Nichols even serve, since he is just there to brood and to rut with women he barely makes eye contact with? I WANT to be disgusted, but it's just so hard to care. They have stripped Sharon of everything. All she does is stare into space with a blank look in her eyes. It's pathetic. I can see why people fell for Luke and Laura, because mixed with the rape, which the writers soon tried to paper over, was a story about a woman fighting for what she wanted.
