Not in the way the story would have logically dictated.

Victor was never going to really lose but the way he won BY losing was insane.

Neither of those was a fight especially since Victor never tried to fight back.

However Victor's been in plenty of fights though it's only been since Bergman was cast that Victor became unstoppable.

It still annoys me that when Jack found out that Victor was responsible for losing Jack and Nikki's baby and he went to confront him, Victor punched him down. I'm guessing that since he and Braeden got into a real fistfight, Bill didn't want to write a fight between Jack and Victor in the script. I can see Bergman getting pissed off when he saw that you didn't get to punch Victor back.

Built a rec center, got Jack fired, ran Jabot into the ground, made friends with Michael, helped end Brad & Ashley's marriage, fought the mob & made up with Victoria & Nick.

These all sound disgusting. Did John do anything to put his foot down, or was he too hung up on Gloria to pay attention?

Michael would've never been paired with Lauren if Heather had stayed.

So i'm guessing that they would have just let Lauren have her relationship with Paul they tried to build back in late 2003/2004.

Pretty much.

I am so sad that nothing really came of Michael/Victoria. I felt they showed incredible promise.

Heather Tom had chemistry with EVERYONE.

The sad thing is that Y&R didn't care.

Was David's transition to psycho believable?

I have the impression that Bell saw an opportunity there; he certainly wasn't planning all the stuff that happened with Nina when he first introduced him, did he?

Yep.

And it proved Corbett could actually act.

Nope.

Originally he was meant for Brenda.

But once the backstage drama got really bad & she left those plans were dropped.

In one of the 1990 episodes recently uploaded to Youtube, Peter Brown plays a prosecutor in Danny's drug trial. Was he playing the same character he played in 1982? Bell usually didn't cast actors who had been fairly prominent in other Y&R roles, did he?

I've seen somewhere a credit listing for Brown in the role of Robert in 1990, but I thought it was highly unlikely much like the debatable credit for Kerry Leigh Michaels as Faren in 1991. Otherwise generally no with the prominent exceptions of Quinn Redeker and Veleka Gray(a story by itself of course)

I always forget about Redeker. I guess it's weird to me to have Peter Brown play a lawyer twice and not have it as the same character.

True not to mention Brown went on B&B as Taylor's dead husband right? I guess it was a quickie role and I wonder how many by 1990 had forgotten Brown's previous role back in 1982 since the Laurences didn't have much of an impact and Bell wrote them off.

For Days its strangely commonplace but for Y&R it is a little odd. I guess last year's temp casting of Jeffery with Kin Shriner is the only other example I can think of.

There was also Andrea Evans (Patty, 1983-84/Tawny, 2010), John McCook (Lance, 1976-80/Eric, 2005) and Katherine Kelly Lang (Gretchen, 1981/Brooke, 1998 and 2007).

I don't recall Brown at that time but he probably played the same character. It would be quite likely that Robert would be around to defend Danny.

Bell had worked with Brown on Days and B&B,and knew he could handle the role and Brown needed work, so it worked out for all.

Redecker had also played a lawyer earlier on Y&R.I think in the Chris Brooks rape trial,

Wait?... KKL was on Y&R in 1981??....

I thought Peter Brown played Earl Bancroft who was married to Alison in the early 80's. I know he did got to B&B as Blake Hayes.

McCook & Evans had been gone from Y&R for almost 20 years by the time they made their appearances.

And KKL was an afterthought (in general).

Yep.

That was Mark Tapscott.

Wow, I can't really picture KKL playing someone on Y&R (Even though she came on as Brooke a few times) even if it was for a short time.

What was her character like, and who did she have scenes with?

Thanks for clearing up the Peter Brown thing Deeedee. I don't know why but I thought Brown was Earl.
