Yes, it sad how cigarettes have taken so many lives. Bill also told the story when he met Lucille Ball in the 80's and she told him she loved watching the Turner Super Stations. By that time her voice was wrecked with cigarette smoking and she was lighting one up as she was talking to him. He was saddened to see what it had done to her.

She was a hoot. Bill Tush said he didn't know the exact reason why Mike Douglas was let go, but speculated maybe Ted Turner and the other's in charge felt he was old hat from the 70's. I say Ted Turner also didn't have to pay Bill as much as Mike and figured a cost cutting measure.

Hey everybody what does everyone think of the whole current dina/stuart brooks storyline being brought into the fold, i feel like y&r are running out of material to use to excite us that they will pull from anything and use any nane to bring back some momentary excitement.

But hey if this bring the brooks back or atleast for dome appearence in the future im down cause the show has never really brought them up in years plus the old viewers got a new update on them lol

I laughed when traci told jack about peggy and Chris not knowing much about dina/stuart and jack says he hopes she doesnt hold any feelings towards him, that has to be about her joining jabot back in 1982 before she left town

Yes currently jack and traci wanted to write a book about the abbots and when jack went to visit dina she was saying how hansome stuart was so jack and traci have been digging for more ibsight on that.

Last week when traci got a hold of the sisters through telephone she just said chris and peggy no nothing about stuart and dina intertwine but apparently lorie and leslie found a note stuart wrote years ago and leslie forwarded the letter to traci thats about it, i see they are definitely trying to make it something but ill tune in to find out where this is really going.

    • I've always said that JFP's main problem is that she comes up with some shocking event and she plans around the event but she never thinks much about the emotional fallout for the characters or the fans. That's why so many of her stories don't work and damage her shows. I like your idea about Lando playing the person involved in hitting Maureen. It would have given Peter Simon something to do which is the feeble excuse they gave for killing Maureen off in the first place. Instead, they gave us the dreck they did.  And they were so obsessed with recreating the blackout week that they kept putting characters in fires and blizzards. None of which I saw, but going through the Logan columns I noticed: every few weeks, someone at GL would give an interview to Logan saying GL was going to get better because they had a great new storyline (A fire! A blizzard! A fire!) . Insanity.
    • @Contessa Donatella, Make sure to cite your sources when making claims such as "apparently she just inked a new deal." This information has not been reported anywhere and is therefore not known to the public, unless disclosed by the actor in question themselves. Once again, stop stating information as fact without providing a legitimate source. What you read or hear somewhere, from either message boards or on social media, does not make it true. This includes information from your "sources."

      Sorry.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ieDNct2sgXU
    • I don't believe it either, @kalbir.  Ironically, I think KL's first producer, Joseph B. Wallenstein, ended up producing "Hotel" as well.
    • Yes, and by the time the 2000's rolled around Katherine was a saint and a dynamic business women. Hard to connect with the drunken lush isolated in her mansion of the 70's.
    • For once, I agree with Maurice.  AMC and OLTL had seen better days, IMO, but to assume that the audience would stick around for "The Revolution" or "The Chew" was pure hubris on the network's part.
    • It is funny to think of how the character of Philip II, and the recasting of Jill, really changed the trajectory of Kay.  One assumes she would've mellowed with time, naturally.  But, as someone who started Y&R @ 1986 (when Brad married Traci), I rarely associate Kay with her more venomous past.
    • At Santa Barbara I think she inherited a very strong structure. I also think it's the first time she exhibited the Peter Principle & was promoted just one step above her level of assured competence. If she'd stayed in Music Production I guarantee you she'd have more awards & also a stellar rep.  Oh, we totally agree then.  Betty Rea GL 1970-1996 & at 82 she died 12-23-99. Worked for the show for 26 years. Shorter time at ATWT. GL had no casting director from 1996 till 1999 when  Rob Decina came on board. (He found Tom Pelphrey at college in NJ.) he was 1999-2009, so bitter ender.  Jill GL 1989-1994, so I would guess that Betty was pretty tired & Jill just ran over her, which probably made her last years miserable because this lady was legendary! All years from imdb which CAN be wrong.
