Members AllMyDaysatGH
Love AMC, but I'm glad it dropped. Wish it would have dropped even lower. That week for the most part was horrid. Ryan and Greenlee on every single day leading up to their reunion, UGH! There were some good parts (Hubbards & Brot, Caleb/Asher dramas, JR/Annie), but RyassLee overshadowed everything and made things unbearable for the most part!! ETA: Glad to see that Thursday's episode had the highest viewers. It had Ryasslee in it, but it was the best episode of the week thanks to Brot/Natalia/Jessie and Zach/Kendall. Members Soapsuds
The numbers are dreadful for all soaps. AMC looks like it's in big trouble.
Members Scotty
Well, to be fair though, Veteran's Day isn't really the type of holiday where a lot of people are off work and would be at home watching soaps...
Members OLTL_fan
Veterans Day for OLTL the past 2 years have been good. 2.2 last year and 2.4 2 years ago.
Members Eric83
I am not watching AMC, but damn when is the last time they have had a 1.0 or better in the demos? Those are downright scary. Glad Days and OLTL had good weeks.
Members All My Shadows
I still don't get this "People are off work, so they sit around watching soaps" notion at all. Someone's gonna have to explain this to me...for real. If people who are at home every day aren't tuning in, why would people who rarely get the chance to watch? The only uptick that makes sense for me would be people who tape/DVR/SOAPnet/download the shows being able to watch live. But when you've got a routine... Members Marley
I'm glad AMC dropped as well. Last week was painful with all the Rylee crap shoved down our throats.
Members amazing7
I'm so happy for Days and OLTL for having good weeks for November Sweeps. It's a shame that I use to love and root for AMC, but with all the Rylee front and center, I can't stand AMC anymore. The writing is so bad that I'm glad Days is a good Soap to watch these days. Members SFK
Exactly. Only soap fans watch soaps. Period. A day off from work is not going to mean much to folks who would have been watching/taping/dvr'ing their stories anyway, no huge ratings surge for that matter. Members TeamEric
The above poster is correct Veterans day (a cold weather holiday with no repeats) usually draws in more viewers: Total Viewers 2009 Veterans day week Nov 9-13 1. Y&R 4,915,000 (+81,000/+39,000) 2. B&B 3,276,000 (+134,000/-205,000) 3. DAYS 3,055,000 (+189,000/+385,000) 4. GH 2,818,000 (+36,000/-71,000) 5. AMC 2,753,000 (+177,000/+70,000) 6. OLTL 2,692,000 (+242,000/-220,000) 7. ATWT 2,452,000 (-96,000/-83,000) Last year OLTL hit 3 million viewers on Veterans day, it's best daily all year. Presidents day is another non-repeat holiday for ABC and typically scores very well too. It's weather related as winter holidays score higher than summer where folks are outside.
