Rachel Boyd posted that on her own Instagram stories feed.  The DaysPeacock show IG account often copy/pastes actor ig story posts onto its show ig account --- but it doesn't necessarily mean anything.  I think the show's social media account person just randomly reposts stuff from actors' posts, if the account person thinks it's fun or whatever.

As to why Rachel posted that on her own account, I don't know.

Hey, guys! I finally got around to buy Bill & Susan Hayes's autobiography from Amazon, and it was cheap as hell. I haven't had the chance to read it yet because this next upcoming week is going to be very, very busy since it's not only my daddy's birthday but it's also my brother-in-law's birthday and also my niece is getting married next weekend too. Who knows... I might end up posting about any interesting tidbits I find in that book. One of the main reasons why I bought the book is because I'm planning to do a video on Brenda Benet soon and I wanted to do some research first.

The Tammy Bruce connection has always interested me because she was a liberal political talking head on talk radio in Los Angeles for years.  She also worked as a PA for Gloria Loring.  Then, she went through a political conversion, and now is Trump's spokesperson for the State Department.

But, I don't recall if Tammy Bruce (who was 19 or 20 when Brenda died) ever discussed Brenda Benet in later interviews.  Most articles seem to mention her ex Bill Bixby, who was much more well known.  But, I would jump into a deep dive on that duo.  Importantly, I want to know if Tammy Bruce still watches Days of our Lives at the State Department.

Early March 2001 Episodes -

Philip/Chloe

I wanna get into this couple but I find them boring. I can appreciate the build up the writers are putting in to build their romance but I just don’t feel the chemistry with them. I like both characters separately just not together. I’m looking forward to the Brady/Chloe romance to start to be honest. I see more chemistry there. This is still a good set up though for future storyline if they plan to make Philip the villain who comes between Brady and Chloe in the future.

Sami/Brandon

Boy does Brandon look hot as sh*t in only a towel. You can tell he was putting in the WORK at the gym. His loyalty to Sami is quite something and if I were Sami I would drop Austin like a hot potato and just go with this guy. Of course, we know a guy like Brandon wouldn’t really look at Sami twice in the real world except for maybe a one night stand. I do feel the chemistry with these too though and the actor playing Brandon is making me believe he genuinely likes her.

Stefano/Lexie baby drama

They’ve introduced 2 new characters who are connected to Marlo but I’ve only seen them in one episode so far so I’m yet to find out their story. I recognize the woman (Tamara Clatterbuck) because she played Alice on Y&R. I am curious to see how this story progresses because I wanna know if Lexie actually goes to Paris to hide out with the baby for a period of time before sh*t really hits the fan and everything is exposed. I’m sure it wouldn’t be on location or anything but I do love the different sets they incorporated back then. It’s one of the main reasons it’s been so exciting to watch these old episodes.

Jennifer/Jack

It’s funny to me how soaps used to act like stalking was cute back then. Jack being portrayed as this light hearted funny character while he’s literally STALKING Jennifer and she’s doing everything in her power to get away from him. I’m not actually offended or anything.. I do love them as a couple. It’s just an interesting observation I had since I know there would be no way that kind of writing would fly today. It was nice to see Jack and Jennifer pop up again though around the March 8th episode. I actually wouldn’t mind a bit more airtime for them and I hope they do become more front-burner again as I continue to watch these episodes.

Philip has the makings of a classic villain.  He was born to Kate and Victor, with Vivian as his gestational host. That alone should set the character's destiny. But despite the pedigree, he’s always been a letdown in the villain department. His schemes are half-baked, and he defaults to violence far too quickly, far too often.

We often talk about sacrificing one character to elevate another, and Philip’s arc is a textbook case. His potential was sidelined the moment Brady returned. Brady started out so obnoxious, they had to dial up Philip’s brattiness just to make nu-Brady palatable. And yet, Brady 1.0 went from tying his sister to train tracks to crooning Rodgers and Hammerstein with Chloe. Philip, by contrast, was never the audience’s first pick—and he’s never truly bounced back.

Good instinct.  IIRC, there was a lot of burgundy damask drapery being used to suggest France.

Okay I definitely did not know that she was also Gloria Loring's PA until recently. That actually got me thinking. She did write a book many, many years ago where she did mention her relationship with Brenda Benet. Somebody actually told me that she claims that Brenda supposedly coerced her into a relationship. I don't know if that's actually true, and I would be loathe to believe anything Tammy Bruce says, especially since she's basically a die hard Republican at this point. I know that Tammy and Brenda broke up a couple of weeks before Brenda committed suicide. The strange thing is though that I actually went through my Macbook the other day and I found an article that I've saved where Lou Ferrigno claims that Brenda and Bill Bixby were actually trying to reconcile right before she died, so I have no idea what the hell is even going on.

And I highly doubt that Tammy watches Days much these days anyway; she probably thinks it's too "woke" or something.

TBH, it shocks me to know that Tammy Bruce has a kinda-sorta connection to soaps or soap stars.  Then again, I'm still reeling from the idea that Cheryl [!@#$%^&*] Hines is married to RFK Jr.

    • So Pam didn't create her? I thought she had the whole of 87-88. I'll look around, thanks for the point in the right direction.

date: Tuesday, November 18, 2025 | Jamey Giddens, Danielle Paige | Steven Williford Samantha, accept the fact you were in the wrong and do not deserve your digital devices. Do not like it? Go upstairs. Read a book. Do some knitting. Bradley and Martin's "we get it" to Tyrell was hilarious and absolutely a parent's thing to do. Loving a bit of history of both the Duprees (via Eva) and the Hawthrones (via Izaiah). So cute. Poor June. I am sure she did not purposefully mean to mess up; we have all been there working in customer service. Shake it off and keep on keeping on! Not twice a week for Vernon's cobbler order... Sharon must be using that as payment for their meetings. I appreciate that Ted still cares about the Duprees despite the end of his marriage to Nicole. Not Dana using Peaches' crisis as a way of taking Ted's attention away from a co-worker. Girl, do not be so obvious. Bradley is a man after my own heart with a simply divine chocolate milkshake. That is the way to go. Dana really needs to dial it back. Money will not buy her everything she wants and she will realise it soon enough. And I doubt Shanice is scared off by her idle threats, either. "With all due respect, Ms Thomas, this isn't a shopping mall." Oh, Dr Wilkes just owned Dana's arrogant ass. I love it. Wigs and personas? Okay now, Shanice ate with that read. I like that June assured Bradley that she will not replace him or Martin in the twins' lives. And that blood does not make a parent. Words never rang more true. Jessica reading Samantha was amazing. Dana would want to involve Ted. Her obsession is crossing beyond dangerous boundaries. Not Dana catching Vernon leaving Sharon's room at the country club. That is not good. Not good at all! Notes: Ugh. Not another breakdown from writer2. This week was going so well. Thankfully, Paige is an outstanding scriptwriter (one of this soap's best), and her words today are excellent. The food at Orphey Gene's does look bomb, so I do not blame any of the characters for uptalking it. I would eat there daily if I could. And gain hundreds of pounds, too. David Lami Friebe (Izaiah) continues to make me sick watching him, but he is nice to listen to. I still really like having June as the central person hub at Orphey Gene's. That familiar face you see when you walk in and have scenes. Dana wanting a second opinion means we could have an incoming doctor, right...?

    • I am sure "no one cares" and it's not a big deal to some people, but this thread is full of certain posters calling out women's ages, their viability to have children at like 35, and their nail polish, but we celebrate everything Chandler Massey does and applaud any male shirtless scenes.  And then posters walk back being like it's just a joke and weren't serious lol.
    • I'm so glad she's still on the show. Seems like she may have dropped a hint about the real source of conflict between her and Dee, too.
    • I don't know how reliable the information is, but from what I've read, he joined GH in 1977, and Alan (who started airing in September 1977) was one of his creations. That should have been enough time to get the show in better shape by the January 1978 episode we saw, but then again, shifting from a 30 minute to a 60 minute format is a big transition, one that requires a lot of filler scenes like Monica having a long flashback to a scene that must have only played out a few weeks earlier.
    • I agree. She said, "I do," and then decided, "I don't." I wish Nikki Abbott had been a longer duration. I wholly prefer Nikki with Jack than I ever have with Victor, and today's episode proved that. And I never minded Ashley with Victor.
    • That one really bothered me. The chemistry was still very much there and then she married Jack and immediately ran off to find Victor. It was such a slap in the face to anyone that was a fan of the pairing.
